Éderson was a big part of City's control of games.

It will take them time to adapt their system to a new goal keeper with areas of uncertainty there to be taken advantage of.

….i’d be surprised if Dibling starts, Moyes will rightly have an eye on the City wingers. Like Dibling, McNeil was poor in the cup at Wolves but I wonder if he might be under consideration for this.

Much may depend on the fitness of Keane, although O’Brien might be better up against Haaland.

Whilst I think a win is unlikely it really isn't "out of the question". City are not the team they were a couple of seasons ago and, with the exception of Burnley and Wolves who are not good sides, they've had a pretty mediocre start to the season. Brighton beat them and Brentford gave them problems. We shouldn't pay them too much respect but I worry Moyes will set us up like he did at the pit.

Yeah I mean we should have a realistic chance - but we’ve all seen us in these away games at the top 6 for so long now..

I know what you mean and it was my biggest worry about Moyes coming back as I genuinely don't believe that he believes he can win at those places. However, I keep being told this is a new Everton and a new Moyes, so let's have these blood and oil drenched bastards!

We need Moysie to really do his homework on this one and bring all three points home. However, there is a lot that can happen with both teams between now and matchday, regarding injuries and such, during the International break.

It’s a tough one because City are pretty gettable but they’re really good at scoring direct goals out of nothing (because they have Erling Haaland) and given our backline it’s hard to risk stepping up and really going after them since it leaves our defenders exposed by a guy they can’t contain in space. Sadly that probably means our best chance is going to be watching City possess a lot, but we have to find a balance and actually get up the field like we didn’t do until 2-0 down at Anfield.

McNeil won’t be under consideration.

Haaland is so good, that goal he scored against Brentford was so impressive and powerful

Weirdly I’m not scared of anything else they have any more than any other team and their defence isn’t all that either

We have every chance of getting something but also if Haaland fancies getting a hat trick he might just do that too so it wont be easy
