You can't beat an open fire especially when it supplies you with all the hot water you need plus heats 8 radiators - A Dunsley Enterprise wrap around back boiler still buy the 16 inch ones today from a firm on Holmfirth last of the summer wine country or a solid feul builders merchant ..

I wonder how many kids today have ever built a bonfire. I bet most of them haven't even got close to one already built ...
The stuff we got away with going to the woods in the Autumn & butchering any old trees - the furniture we burnt going on the knocker probably antiques burnt
- then the den at the bottonm of your massive bonfie a true fire hazzard when in it ... fireworks sold from any hardware shops - all before NOV the 5th - then you looked forward to Christmas - plus you has penny for the Guy knocking on doors at night ...all now outlawed ....
