Quick one: Was it a poor header from Beto or just a great save? Been hearing different schools of thought on it.
It was a good leap, a powerful header, and directed down at the ground where the keeper would most struggle to make himself big and keep it out. On another day that squirms in under the keepers leg and Beto is the hero but Henderson did very well to get across his goal and keep it out.

Made a point last season about half time turning up and all our players would fall asleep, we'd look great first half then come out comatose.

Seems we've reversed it this year. No idea what's going on or why.

He had unimpeded forward momentum and he failed to score from 4 yards out - a shocking attempt.

Beto is lovely - thumbs up on the stretcher - but not good enough.

edit: 'Unimpeded forward momentum' sounds a bit pompous - I just mean he had a clear run at it. :)
He had 5 players in front of him, including the keeper.

I think he hoped the power in the header would would guarantee himself a goal , i wish it had gone in as it would have been a big boost for him ...just unlucky

…..he properly gets up and ‘hangs’ but I don’t think he quite timed it, it went down and the keeper made a fine save but what happened next is history. Great angle on that cross, magnificent ball to attack from Ndiaye.

I am not sure the keeper saved it in as much as it hit his knee. Can't really fault Beto's header as that was the best place to put it. Fortune intervened first for them and then for us. Jack's block might have gone anywhere but fortune intervened and it went in.

….’hitting his knee’ is saving it, keeping it out is saving it. I thought the keeper did well in that instant. As Moyes said, Beto should’ve buried it.

It's pretty simple, our subs are better than our starters. Love Moyes but it's criminal putting Alcaraz on the bench, don't understand it one bit.
