You just cant not love Charly, he epitomises everything about this club..
Even after grealishes goal, he didnt run straight to Jack, he ran straight to the fans behind the goal.
He's like a true blue thats come through the academy, something really clicks with him and our club.
Always looks to drive forwards and has the energy and physicality to replace what doucoure was doing but adding a huge amount of quality to that

Telling that is mate in my opinion. You sometimes get a vibe from players how much it means to them when they dont directly score. I pick up that vibe from Alcaraz as well. He's all about wanting to win. Again i say it. He's got that Argentine mentality. I dont think ive seen a game yet where his attitude hasnt been spot on. Give me more of that at this club.

Charly deserves a consistent run of games to refine his form, as Sunday demonstrated he can be an attacking catalyst that can shift the momentum of the game. He's one of the few players trying to link up a series of passes or put in through balls they're not all perfect with more time on the pitch I think that can be polished. He just has a abundance of energy along with the intent to create attacking opportunities, he has moments where he'll just sky a ball but I think that's indicative of his rambunctious style as he wants to just imprint himself on the game.
I hope Moyes doesn't resume playing kdh at 10 and then stick Alcarez on the wing against city in a couple weeks. Since Jack is ineglible there will be an extra spot in the lineup but playing Alcarez as winger would be hinder his ability to thrive

Doucore for all his faults would drive us forward and for a while he was effective at making us direct. KDH slows the play down which does not suit this side at all. People can take offense to any criticism of KDH all they want but he is not a direct player or one that gambles on passes. He has not shown that yet. Charly is to me the better option for that position until we get a technically gifted striker that can play in tight spaces.
His recent exceptional showing, highlights how he should of been brought on for the Aston Villa match , especially when they were dug in near their goal. I like kdh but I think Alcarez has greater capacity in unlocking packed defenses

Yes. Him and possibly Merlin are what we need to add to the much improved quality. You need to put defenders on the back foot and not rely on football chess. You need ten brilliant outfield players to do that, and it is not very exciting.

Yep. The touch and pass for the first goal against Brighton springs to mind. If either of those are less accurate the goal doesn’t happen. His involvement in the first goal against Wolves was also very clinical. We attack slowly because we have nothing up front and our wingers aren’t quick and don’t want to run in behind.
