Haven't we got to put up with a US children begging for diabetes while pestering old neighbours tradition first, at the end of October, and then commiserate Guy Faulk's failure, before Christmas is upon us?

I remember all souls day ... remembering the dead ... apple bobbing, home made toffee around a bonfire.

Now its stupid dress up like some holywood film character and mug your neighbours for sweets with menaces. Meanwhile fully grown adults litter their homes with plastic tat and polymer fake cobwebs that trap and kill birds, while tv companies swamp their output with supposedly horror films.

Take a wild guess which culture I prefer!
