The importance of booing

Player Valuation: £10m
We saw & heard it again yesterday. Booing in football matches often gets a bad rap, but should it? Again the Blues supporters' raw expression holding players and refs accountable while adding intensity to the game woke the beast up. It made the place feel like... home.

What do you think, is booing Everton's super power or is it just toxic nonsense? Share us your greatest boos.

Nothing like undermining your own team's confidence. Destroyed many a promising career that. Clowns.

For homework, I want you to contemplate and think about the words"support" and " supporter."
Only time I've ever booed was when Graeme Poll disallowed Don Hutchinson's goal in the derby.

For me booing players is self sabotage

We've actually become a fanbase known for booing it's players, not a good luck in my humble opinion.

Don`t think booing a shocking performance like that first half on Sunday can be classed as being toxic but more of a wake up call for players and management that they are being paid big bucks to win games not just make up the numbers. If anything could be classed as toxic it`s the happy clapping at mediocracy that was pretty much the norm for a couple of decades under previous owners.

Who had their career ruined by booing?
Every olayer that came, made a mistake, got bood and their confidence crumbled. Probably Barkley is, the one that springs to mind first. Ever see the clip where Jags, coming off the pitch, was telling the disconsolate/furious young lad they were booing the manager, not him.

It was not long after that he got his own back on the club and fans with the manner in which he left.

Do the maths.

One thing with us Everton Fans, is you know if you as a player are playing well or not, or the team or doing well or not. We are not scared to let them know our fellings. I am one for anything with whatever needs to be shouted at them. It should fire you up if you really want to win and have not been good
