Just got back home, what an end to the game. I’m sure it’s been said multiple times already. But the subs changed the game (look what happens when you make early subs, Moyes).

Even when KDH is back, Alcaraz needs to be banging on the managers door asking what he needs to do to start centrally.

Alcaraz completely changed the game today, his aggression and speed on the transition transformed our laboured midfield. All the quality we've brought in in the attacking midfield counts for nothing without an aggressive player who is not afraid to drive forward. Garner was very good as was Keane, but, in fairness, we stole that win. Still, mwe will be sitting 8th going into the second international break.

All in all, so far so good. I just hope that Moyes is beginning to realise that we are a much better team with Alcaraz playing. I'd really consider a 4-3-3 with Alcaraz in midfield along side Dewsbury-Hall and either Gueye or Rohl and Garner at right back until January, when we must bring in a right back so that we can put Garner back in midfield.

It helped that they're were completely knackered after playing in Europe a couple of days ago like
Yep - but we did up the pace when Keane went off - and Charley definitely helped. They bossed it for 60 and we probably should have been 2 or 3 down. We've been there with europa Thursday and Prem Sunday tho so it's the price you have to pay thanks to UEFA telly contracts.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "As long as you're 1-0 up the game is never decided. Everything can happen in one chance, one mistake, one set play, that's football. We saw that last week with Liverpool at the beginning at the same way because we could've been 3-0 at half-time, but we are just 1-0 up and then they came back and we could strike back again [against Liverpool]. Today it was Everton who got the turnaround. Premier League football everyone is able to score goals from different situations."

He's being very gracious there.

Garner plays backwards too much to be a top class midfielder. Wharton completely ran that game 90% of the time

Yep, from what I've seen come across a class act and headed for the top imo.

Of course, inside he'll be rightly furious with how they've lost that.

Deserved win, for the second half only.
They should have been 3 or 4 up at half time and it could have been easily 8-0 but for some misses and Pickford JOB saves.
Alcaraz was brilliant when he came on and the team and crowd responded to that energy - it showed up the miserable, lacklustre performance of the first half. A real freel-good win that!
Always a good feeling to beat the team that beat Them last week.

I thought Palace were really impressive- I can see them in the mix for trophies and Europe again at the end of the season.

MOTM - Alcaraz with honourable mentions to Garner, Pickford and O'Brien (who looked the part when he switched back to CB)
