Texan Dan (and Ryan - Game 28) in Scotland for the Alfred Dunhil Links golf tourno this weekend….. Any chance of a sighting at the home of his beloved Everton FC?

Teeing off at Carnoustie at 11:12 with Lucas Bjerregaard (Game 41)

Just spotted him shaking hands with his playing partners after finishing his round at Carnoustie!
Doesn’t look as though he’ll be required in Scotland on Sunday afternoon as him and his pro partner are currently in 128th place!

Seems very strange that our old owner is more interested in us than our new ones

Typical online Evertonians. Friedkins have just recently poured another 45 million quid into the club via a new share issue, but the old owner is ‘more interested’ as he has been to a game or two. If they continue to pour money in they can stay away forever if they like. Friedkins business model is to put up capital and let someone else run the business. No wonder Moshiri got away with so much for so long. All it takes for some of you is wearing a scarf and a bobble hat and you can almost ruin the club.

Moshiri did this sort of stuff all the time when he was owner. Did it make him a good owner? Let's hold our water for a couple of years before deciding if the Friedkins are good owners or not. We can all agree that Moshiri was a bad one but only a fool would say he didn't pump money into the club. Plenty of people treated him like the second coming 9 months into his reign, which is the point we are at with TFG. You criticise others for snap judgements but it seems you are making a lot of assumptions yourself.

Not for me.
I’ll only turn a blind eye to that if you used to go to the match on the handlebars of your uncles bike.

Seeing this tweet reminded me that Kieran Maguire came on one of our podcasts to chat Sunderland's finances etc. a few weeks ago, and he's obviously incredibly well informed/ knowledgeable. But he casually mentioned off-hand, as part of another answer, that he knows that your owners are incredibly ambitious and wanting to spend. Thought I'd mention it here!

Moshiri wasn't spending his own money. He was moving money for a client who was suddenly keen to get his cash out of Russia and into a safe currency like the GB Pound.
I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

Have I avoided libel well enough here? Let's hope so

There's loads of investors in Roundhouse too. The days of one man ownership is largely over. I'm not saying Roundhouse will be Moshiri mk 2, all I'm saying is that we don't really know what sort of owners they are yet. Lots of people rushed to judgement with Moshiri and lots of people are doing the same again now. Let's hope there's a different outcome.

Absolutely, fair point. So far they've come in and paid off debts etc, we feel better off. But we have to remember the majority of people who buy English clubs these days, they're not doing it for charity.
I rushed to judgment with moshiri because of how he bought the club (Usmanov fire sale-Arsenal shares-multi ownership block-Fund transfer...etc...shady as hell. Then low + behold Russia was isolated from world markets not long after. Coincidence I'm sure.

TFG at least seem to be in for the ride and not just transferring funds left and right.
