Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Sorry but for me it’s not as good as The Scythe for me. Best bit for me funny enough is the intro just up until the guitar comes in. The guitar chord itself is very Wet Leg.
I bow to your superior knowledge sir. I always thought the riffs reminded me of Shadowplay by Joy Division, but Emily has come out today and said it was inspired by Sparks abd Wet Leg.

I must admit it’s taken the edge off my anticipation somewhat, along with forgotten phone, no battery, I’ve now got the worry of it not working at the turnstile, holding everyone up in the queue whilst I faff around and worst of all being denied entry.
Please don’t worry about the last bit. Loads of people at our gate have had problems (including me) and there’s always been a helpful steward there to help x

@blue1948 explanation of photos;
1. Mediterranean garden created in 1st lockdown
2. Shows entry to Arboretum planted 2021/22
3. Tropical garden created last year and added to in May / June this year
4. Tropical garden
5. Think this is a duplication
6. View of lawn leading to pond
7. View up the garden with a brand new ( needs a lot of time ) fernery.
8. Spring border
9. Lawn with spring border and Tintin photo bombing!

I also have an Asian themed courtyard.....
Looking even more spectacular imo.

Hello all. We're still 8n Symi. We've been up a mountain on the Little Symi Train, visited a church (closed), had a look at the war memorial, been to the beach, swam In the sea and ate calamari in one of the many tavernas around the harbour (well I did,Mr F had meatballs) I am so taken with this place. It is beautiful. Some of the yachts in the harbour have to be seen to be believed. I googled one of them - £150m, running costs £10m a year.View attachment 327038View attachment 327039View attachment 327040
It looks beautiful 😍

Evening everyone. By coincidence tonight we had a power cut , it was just going dark and I a had a mini taste of what it’s like without internet or electricity. I told my husband that he’d have to talk to me instead but luckily for him by the time I'd found my lighter, lit my candles, and got my power pack out of the car it came back on.
We have started our child minding duties since our holiday and I’ve never been so tired for years 😂. One more chorus of heads, shoulders, knees and toes along with accompanying dance today and I would have collapsed. How did we do it as parents. It’s definitely not for the unfit and feint hearted. That said I am loving every minute inspite of being pebble dashed with spaghetti hoops and raspberries.
Hope everyone is well and I’m sharing your concerns about @peteblue , I hope he and Kay are ok.
My 5.27 am alarm means an early night tonight - sleep well all 💙

Whe I read pebble dash I feared for the worst and was quite relieved it was only speghetti and raspberries . Oh for those days back ,I bet you sleep better .

Good morning all on this super morning ,I hope all are well and had a good night .Off to the shops today with plans to buy pike perch which is a fish not found in the UK as far as I know but we had it in Austria and they called it zander . It is beautiful to eat ,I remember on UK masterchef finals once they sent one finalist to Copenhagen and then tasted his food and the judges were gomsmacked by it's taste . It is not cheap around 40€ per kilo but we don't eat vast amounts of it . We are on the lookout for bacon ribs too .
Yesterday was 27 years since I first set foot in Finland ,so we had to celebrate that with a bubbly .
Have a great day all COYB.

Hi folks. Congratulations on your Finnish anniversary @blue1948 . It's all a bit tense here on Symi ( well it would be had the bottle of white wine not been consumed). We are supposed to be leaving for Kalymnos in the morning but high winds and thunderstorms are forecast so we don't know if the ferry will run. Fingers crossed it does!
Another tough day on the beach, having siestas and drinking beer. I don't know how I manage!

Sounds like everyone is expecting stormy weather tomorrow then with storm Amy due to arrive. I suggest we all say our prayers to St Michael this evening 😀
