Keane man of the match, thought we were overall poor tonight, our big players N'diaye and Grealish, weren't as stand out tonight, West ham played at our weak link which was Obrien, the winger had him on toast most of the night, Jake has been excellent for us since he started playing right back, tonight he wasnt, Summerville was simply too quick, too fleet footed for him and I feel Moyes should have made a change earlier or tweaked the system, he didn't we suffered. But the main difference between the teams was West ham had a focal point up front, we never, Fulkrug is by no means a great striker, but he has a presence, he bumps into defenders, lays off the ball, he's a nuisance. This season our forwards are not doing that, tonight a prime example, Beto was non existent, we had no focal point. It improved slightly when Barry came on, but he has a lot to learn. Would it be worth playing N'diaye up front as a false nine, which would allow Dibling to play on the right, Dibling who had a very good cameo role, 10 minutes, which was not enough to change the result, which brings me to my second point Moyes substitutions were far too late to make a difference.

Scandalous that...without putting my tin hat on that looks deliberate from the ref now, knowing another yellow would suspend him.

I've never been more convinced that the refs in this league are crooked,or at the very least follow some sort of agenda.
I really don't think there's a conspiracy against us, why would there be? The refs are just terrible.

I don't know why people are surprised. We know we are light in attack and if you drop deep it certainly negates Beto.
The obvious solution is goals from midfield, which we should be able to achieve, with the likes of Grealish, Ndiaye, Alcarez etc.
If its not working then rotate it or change it.
Frankly, not enough movement and creativity behind, whoever the striker is.
There should be enough goals in our midfield to comfortably win games.

Anyone who thinks this league isn’t bent needs to watch that refs performance tonight, we might as well accept that we won’t win anything while this pl and Pigmol are in place.

Following on from the yellow for taking a quick free kick (was anything done to the ref who handed out that little jewel btw?) we see a perfectly good tackle by kdh given as a fouls and then he actually gets booked for it…..this was after several of the wham players had got away with booting lumps out of Grealish all night. Disgrace tbh.

I’m just going the game now to meet up with mates and have a bit of a laugh and to spend time with the kids, it’s a joke how bent it all is now.

Regarding the game, far Too many not at it tonight, really poor considering the opposition. Should have had it won in the first half mind.

Nuno taking Somerville off was insane,
They win if he stayed on.

Obrien exposed tonight, crying out for a proper rb in the side.

Beto wasn’t even a nuisance tonight like he normally is, easiest game for their cbs all season, his confidence looked blown, playing like he was wearing a suit of armour - take him out the firing line Davey.

Love Grealish but he needs to get the ball in to the box quicker once he’s beat the man, instead of going back for seconds and thirds.

Fair play to Michael Keane, was great again tonight defensively and took his header really well - my motm.

Sick of Moyes not using the bench more, two subs is just stupid and hands initiative to the opposition.

Alcaraz, aznou and Patterson could have come on as well as the two who did, with a change of system to 3 at the back to accommodate and help obrien out.

Frustrating and incompetent, bit like the ref tbh.

Don’t see how we beat palace playing like that, unless Pigmol decide their unbeaten run needs to end…..that wouldn’t shock me either.

All we do is play it out wide and then lay it off to a player outside the box

to just whack it at goal...
Trouble is they don't, that sort of tactic is easily blocked by any half awake defender.
You have to commit the would be blocker, you have to 'attack' the box, play a 1 - two around him, have a go, just surging into the box
Defenders hate it if you run at them...see our back line.

Ah, but if you try to force the issue, take chances by pushing on into the box you might lose the ball, nah keep it tight

Hello!
we try this and still lose the kin ball

Just back from the game – messy exit thanks to the tunnel closure, but here’s a few thoughts…

Overall, I thought we played well in large parts tonight. Like the Villa game, though, we’re still struggling to turn possession into goals – stating the obvious, I know.

I really feel for Beto. He clearly gives everything, but the slow build-up play doesn’t suit him at all. It’s like we’re terrified of losing the ball because of the counter threat and our lack of pace. That makes our build-up very safe and considered. Still, it feels like a step in the right direction.

One thing that disappointed me was the lack of support for Jake. Whether it’s Tarks, Ndiaye, or even the manager, someone needed to step in and help him out. When a player’s having a tough spell, you need that bit of backing to get through it.

Final point – and maybe I’m just getting older – but I don’t think I’ve ever heard so many C-bombs flying around from the away end. Might have to rethink bringing the kids to the North Stand. Felt a bit over the top tonight, to be honest.

Paqueta was straddling Mykolenko like he was a hobby horse but Mylo did give him a little elbow to the ribs. Paqueta of course then rolled around on the floor grasping his face. They should've both got a yellow, tbh.
Our players aren't aggressive enough, here paquera should have been surrounded by us calling him a a cheat & dragging him on his feet
