We can see the difference pace out wide brings. All we can do at the minute is make like for like changes out wide. We don’t have the pace to run in behind.

Honestly thought we had a poor transfer window.

Just a bit. I was in the minority moaning over our club record spending in the summer because it finished without our biggest priority being addressed. No pace. No full backs.

We're not gonna steam roll anyone. Especially without a striker. West ham have started badly but they're not cannon fodder like every other team out of the top 2/3. Yes it's disappointing but what do you expect without a striker?
We could have the best striker on the planet they wouldn’t score because he wouldn’t get service just balled lumped up to him. Strikers hate that they want crosses ball to feet and through balls not hoof ball

Getting the ball to Grealish at all costs is killing us. N’Diaye isn’t dribbling with the ball and is therefore pretty ineffectual. Forwards are easily crowded out by the time Grealish gets to the byline so it’s the same old cutback to Garner, shot blocked, go again.

JOB almost shot himself in the foot doing so well at RB last year because we’ve stuck with it and it’s really not working out. Mykolenko light years away from being as bad as some would have you believe, though.

I think we do. Grealish, Gana, Garner, KDH, Ndiaye, Pickford and Branthwaite are all good players.

The problem is that we have no good fullbacks/striker which absolutely kills a lot of good that they're able to potentially do.
Branthwaite wasn't playing there tonight. Gueye is way over the top now. Ndiaye is overrated and inconsistent. Garner is...so-so. Grealish and Pickford are class players. Dewsbury-Hall is no more than tidy.

I agree with you on the lack of strikers and full-backs. Throw in a safety-first, risk-averse, percentages manager and we're getting mediocrity. Or "stability".

I've been told repeatedly that we'll be pushing for Europe and that's why tanking out of the league cup is a good thing. Have I been misled?
Dunno who you that but I'll doubt we'll qualify for Europe or win the fa cup. Nor would we have won the league cup once we played a decent team. It's just how it is sadly. There's loads of teams much better than us and loads of teams like west ham pretty much the same as us.

Jake O Brien playing RB for Ireland had too many people thinking we’d be fine there.

It was the top of the priority list in my opinion, right next to striker. Which we also seem to have [Poor language removed]

Beto and Barry (I'll give him the benefit of doubt)

Won't just get the job done.

Tarkowski has been truly awful again tonight, dithering with everything. Moyes not reactive enough either with his subs. The right side was killing us all night. For Sunday Dibling must start and N'Diaye or Grealish central. The forward position and right back is a major major problem. But we knew that a long time ago. JOB did the job admirable last year. But he's a centre back, if Seamus has anything left in his legs then he has to come in for him now for a spell.
I agree with that. Do something different. The most creative players are Jack and Illy. They spend half their possession trying to cone back inside from the wings only to find no support from the striker. So start Tyler out right and get those two planted firmly in the middle.
