Personally think good managers aren’t afraid to admit that they have dropped a clanger occasionally.I liked he's interview, shows that we have moved on from relegation battles and I liked Moyes arrogance from the Wolves result, I've moved on from that, lol. Good managers and players need to show arrogance.
Is it really too much to ask to just have one steadily average bog standard season where we don’t have a complete and utter autumn meltdown leaving us needing to bring a short term firefighter in for a temporary boost in January to scramble us over the line?
2 points actually because villa never looked like scoring either tbfCorrect, if everything that could’ve possibly gone against us in a game of football went against us, then we’d be bottom on 0 points
Bizarre and pointless post.
Perhaps if we'd won anything in the last 30 years or even been remotely relevant for some of that time we could afford the luxury of arrogance, but to shrug off the cup exit and such a dreadful performance like it's no biggie is the very opposite of good arrogance. If anything, it's embarrassing.I liked he's interview, shows that we have moved on from relegation battles and I liked Moyes arrogance from the Wolves result, I've moved on from that, lol. Would it have killed him to say “We really wanted to win that match and in retrospect I might have made too many changes to the starting team to get the start we wanted. However we did learn things from that match and we’re looking forward to a good response in our next game”Why has he decided to completely ruin all the positive goodwill he'd gained over the last 9 months.
I said on Tuesday I thought his team selection showed an element of arrogance. Nothing that was said today has changed my opinion.
100%Personally think good managers aren’t afraid to admit that they have dropped a clanger occasionally.
Better start preparing yourself for the months of ' As I previously said ' cos they are coming for us..Was ever thus. The usual mix of people who are more concerned with being right and those who are just anonymous 'evertonians'.
I fully agree with you, but for the sake of playing devils advocate, how often do managers come out and say "yeah think I got that one wrong".Very poor interview and absolutely no hint of admitting he made a mistake. Completely out of touch with most supporters
I do wonder sometimes if the journos all snigger to them selves that they know that need to stroke his ego to get anywhere with him.Ha Ha Ha.
Vinny O'Connor is such a toady: "You obviously delivered a major trophy".
FFS.
He'd do a good job. I've heard he's a...... miracle workerJesus Christ.
Ah yes of course, that’s why it’s famously never won by Premier League teams. Are you still not aware that none of the managers in the PL are arsed about the league cup?
He's been our best manager for a long time, we mainly finished in euro spots under him.Perhaps if we'd won anything in the last 30 years or even been remotely relevant for some of that time we could afford the luxury of arrogance, but to shrug off the cup exit and such a dreadful performance like it's no biggie is the very opposite of good arrogance.
