Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all. I'm still around, mainly lurking with the odd post. Just not feeling myself at the moment which makes interacting with people hard.

Thanks for the concern anyway. Speak soon.
I read one of your posts recently, very measured and sensible , I’m glad you’re continuing with the odd post, GOT needs sensible posts at times 👍

Any excuse is a good one Fred .Hope the night with Cal's memories went well . Did you play any vinyl for her ?
I'm afraid not Blue. My entire vinyl collection consists of 6 records that I purchased last week. 4 of them were released within the last 15 months although I think Cal would have liked some of the music. The other 2 are from my favourite ever artist who I know Cal absolutely hated.:) I used to own them both on vinyl but never replaced them on CD for some reason.

Just pretend it's Retsina;)
When the missus makes tzatziki we buy a half bottle -don't shout that is all they have -of retsina ,I can eat and drink most things but that is the only way I can cope with pine juice ! So sad she is not there but I am sure Cal would have approved of some of your choices ,I am sure she lead you in choosing .I would love to have met her but I might never have met you and enjoyed that week .Stay strong that man .

A very thought provoking comment that blue. The old conundrum of fate or a here and now shaped by choices. I am in the former camp which will be of no surprise to any of you I imagine (faith driven).

Yes I agree ,as when I met my wife in Spain in a bar that I was told not to visit .Fate is a strange thing because if there is a perfect match for me it is her ,we have a fine but not perfect marriage but we are meant to be together .In simple terms we have enriched each other's lives .

I don’t think any marriage is perfect even if you do find your soulmate. However, the mix a strong couple have couldn’t be replicated by another, so it that sense they were always destined to be together.

Is anyone's marriage perfect?

Seriously I've yet to meet anyone who has perfection in their life.

I'm not even sure that perfection exists.

Returning to the subject of marriage there's no one I'd rather be with than Mrs J . But is it perfect ? Don't know probably not but who cares as long as you are happy.

Starmer has lost the plot with this national ID scheme. What a foolish thing to lose his Premiership over.
We have a card here and I am used to it now ,I actually think it is no harm for those who want to pull their weight and be legal . It will stop multiple claims for unemployment and other benefits that used to occur when I was in the UK.I remember some Nigerian families borrowing their friends kids to claim family allowance .That kind of thing would stop .

Good morning all on this clear day ,leaves are falling hard and the autumn colour is in the trees ,birds have left fdor warmer climes and a thicker coat is called for . I hope all are well and had a good night . It was nice to hear from @Terrarian although the news wasn't good ,I just hope @peteblue is faring no worse as he deserves a break .
We bought extra wood as I am slowing down now and I want to have a good stock for next year to ease the load . So that is the order of the day ,bit by bit . Have a great day all COYB
