Good evening folks. Today's adventure was to find the beach. We did that quite successfully but unfortunately finding our way home was less successful. We racked up.almosy 12000 steps before we made it back! So pool and bar it was this afternoon.
Currently in the bar drinking Long Island Iced Tea - wh8ch reminds of Labinskys 2 for 1 cocktail nights. We used to bin off work at 3 and head over to Liverpool- I think it was a Thursday - and then get absolutely bladdered on cocktails! Happy days

Good morning all on this +1° morning here ,took me a bit by surprise as we have a few fuchsia I wanted to bring in and they might have taken a knock . I hope all are well and had a good night .
I have had my rant on the game thread so will give an abridged version on here ,what was he thinking of benching most of our best performers and replacing them with two underperformers and two with little game time ? I wish I could delete the post saying he had won me around .Now we are out of the easiest of the cups thanks to him .

A lemon Liqueur. Very sweet but allegedly good for the digestion so Cal and I always had a shot after a barbie when we've usually pigged out. I still do.

My Long Island ice teas are legendary in my family. I do them martini style and the mixer is a squeeze of lime.

Yeah its been good thanks mate. I've just had the one moment when I was exchanging messages with Jazzy about next months Rick Wakeman concert. He's basically playing two albums front to back. One of them is Cals favourite ever album, and the other is about The Tudors which some of you may know was her obsession, especially Ann Boleyn. Add in that Cals brother is coming to the concert too and I guess it just got to me. No telling what sets you off. But apart from that I've been fine.

I've spent the day doing things Cal would have done. Eating her favourite foods, doing some gardening, having a barbie. I even had a limoncello in a RED shot glass, a first for me. I'm now going to have a margarita or two and watch one of her favourite films, probably Downton Abbey. The night is still young.

Part of me is thinking you have done Cal proud and the other half of me thinks she is beside you today guiding your hand.

It’s beautiful to celebrate her through her favourite food, music and films. Such a fitting way to dedicate a day to a lady who was evidently very special.

First time I ever tried Limoncello was in an Italian restaurant in the corner of Chavasse Park about 10 years ago. It reminded me of Hooch Lemon

Limoncello you say ?

We made a "drink" from the young tips of pine branches .I kid you not .It tasted just like limoncello after 6 weeks but gradually turned into turpentine flavour after a month or two .

Good morning all on this fine day ,the wife has the hairdresser this morning and is letting me loose in a hypermarket we don't visit often to try to find kidneys as our normal one is not stocking them any more ,last time they had them they were on offer for 99p per kilo ,so I think I know why !
My problem is walking past things that are not good for me ,she usually gives me that look and I leave them alone but today will be different .
The thing is that all the bad things I do buy she eats as well ,cakes chocs etc.etc.
I hope all had a good night and have a great day today .COYB
