I know they are very young and need time but I am already having doubts about our 2 most expensive players this season in Dibbling and Barry. I totally understand they are young but after paying all that money out for them I thought they should be further on than they really are.

We could have chose to go on a good League cup run but he chose not to ...,Also i wouldn't be surprised to get knocked out in the 3rd round of the F.A cup by a League 1 side knowing our manager's mentality....still as long as we strive for a lofty mid table finish that'll make up for it.
How else would you suggest we get meaningful minutes for the likes of Dibling, Barry and the rest of our bench?

We lost. It was a team that on paper could definitely have won on another day. We got minutes for young players and pushed for a goal in the second half.

It is what it is. This season is about moving forward as a club, not whether we win anything or not. We were such a train wreck before the new ownership, getting to comfortable mid table should be job one, which will then help us get better players to continue on from there. You can't do that as a team fighting relegation, no matter how much money you throw at them (unless you're United)

Another Moyes Masterpiece ,the man is a buffoon .
When we had Rooney and he didn't play other teams were inspired ,the same with Hames ,now he dropped four of the best five in the team to the bench and put two lads on with little playing time plus Mcneil and Alcaraz the two most underperforming players this season .What does he expect ? The sooner TFG wake up to him the better .At best he was a mediocre manager now he is well past his sell by date and should be put out to pasture .
For all this "He is in the right place and the right man " bull , if the staff cannot stand up to him then they should be ashamed ,what exactly does Baines and the other two do ? Are they part of the circus ? Get Carsley in .Get the fraud out .
I could go on TV and say all the lovelies he comes out with but I too would be rubbish at his job. Rant over but sadly he is still here .

🚨🚨 Moyes is a fraud klaxon 🚨🚨

Did the teams that had more than zero also out perform us in the league? All of the top 4 took games against us more seriously than all other teams in the league except for the top 4. They virtually always picked their strongest team and you can’t ignore the fact that in lots of those games we didn’t have our first choice 11 and our fringe players were weak. It’s a weird pointless thing to obsess over.
Pointless is an apt word to use.

Across 11 years you can’t use the excuse “we had injuries so can’t start our first XI”.

Wanting to win away at Big Teams = Weird. Nice to know.

You can praise the job Moyes did whilst also raising weaknesses seen in his tenure.

You are missing the point we paid a lot of money for players who are not ready to play in the premiere league, for what we paid we should have players ready to play and not just potential for the future, we paid close on 50m for Barry and Dibbling.

The whole point of every season for us has to be at minimum a decent cup run otherwise what are we competing for....yes players need game time but to make so many changes like he did last night was insane ,
We had a great chance to get through to the next round and he blew it big time ,and his post match explanation was in my view an insult to our travelling fans

What you have fail to do is to show statistically we have performed worse away from home at the big 4 than any of our direct rivals. Most teams in the league will have terrible win records at Anfield, Old Trafford, Highbury/Emirates and Stamford Bridge. It’s not really surprising.

I completely agree on the last point. We look good when we have spells of controlled possession because we have some decent technical players now but we go for long spells without the ball against even the worse teams due to our inability to push up and press as a unit (which is partly due the CBs playing too deep because of their lack of pace and athleticism) and our failure to put clearance into an area where a blue player has a reasonable chance of winning or competing for the ball. Keane and Tawks just continually clear it straight to the opposition. It's infuriating.
This. Also not having strikers who score ‘goals’ is a big worry…

Between 2007 and 2010, Villa won 3 games from trips to the stadiums you mentioned above. That a decent enough comparison?

We are competing for the future, as we've been a train wreck recently, 0-0 drawing our way to safety more often than not the last 5 years.

And that starts with finishing 7th-10th this season.
