As Moyes said...we did not have the money to spend 100M on a striker so we invested for the future.

He'll score on Saturday but we'll still lose. He'll be more confident in our next match though.

I saw one moment of class up close in the Roma friendly that reassured me that he'll be alright.

The ball got played out to him on the left he chipped it over the defenders leg and ran directly to goal. It was skillful, positive and on the front foot.

He needs some time but I think he'll come good.

Perversely, it should make it easier/more likely for him to settle. For young lads moving away from home for the first time it can take a while to even get used to not having their family and friends around them all the time, or their favourite restaurants etc, he's obviously well used to that and adapting to new environments so he's in a better position than most.

In fairness he wasn't getting sold because he'd performed poorly; on the contrary in fact!
