Had a similar conversation with GO regarding my Mum, I agree it was rushed to say the least. I had no time to discuss the situation with my brothers so was on my own.So sorry to read that Pete.
I had the same very difficult conversation with the medics about the decision not to resuscitate mum and given the resultant form.
To be frank the conversation was , I thought, rushed and even I felt a bit pressurised but when I reflected on it later I do believe that it was the right decision for mum.
However I remain concerned that the way these decisions are arrived could be achieved in a more humane holistic way.
Best of luck mate.
What soup and stew are you making AT ? A secret Armagh recipe ? I love soups and we have so many but still room for more .§A wet and windy start here so a day of reading for work and making soup and stew ahead. A nice day overall.
Tomato, peppers and lentils for us today. What soup and stew are you making AT ? A secret Armagh recipe ? I love soups and we have so many but still room for more .§
Sadly these forms are a necessity but so impersonal, you though know what is best for Kay. Take care.We have received an ‘End of Life’ care form from the doctors basically asking where Kay should pass away, home, care home, hospital etc, resuscitation if required etc etc.I’ve tried to protect my other three children, Adam has already read the form, but felt I had to update the other three on this next stage. It really brings it home to you, I intend to say we will continue to care for Kay at home unless she becomes really ill, then it will be hospital….
I was Orienteering near Aviemore yesterday and had two bad falls in the forest, in the 2nd I hit my head on the ground and have some marked , bloody, scars . Usually I bounce back straight away but I’m also thinking it’s maybe time to give this up, stick to road running.Very, very wet and windy today.
Mums shopping , plenty of tea and then venturing out in the storm tonight to play ping pong.
Hmmm think this might be my last season.
Hope you are okay.I was Orienteering near Aviemore yesterday and had two bad falls in the forest, in the 2nd I hit my head on the ground and have some marked , bloody, scars . Usually I bounce back straight away but I’m also thinking it’s maybe time to give this up, stick to road running.
Tomato and red pepper soup and just traditional stew (beef, carrots, onion and potato). The mother of Scouse but no red cabbage on the side. What soup and stew are you making AT ? A secret Armagh recipe ? I love soups and we have so many but still room for more .§
Remember to watch out for signs of concussion. I would love that but the wife doesn't like lentils and I have tried .Tomato, peppers and lentils for us today.
Really is soup weather
Sounds great ,scouse was a favourite of mine ,they have a meal here the sounds like scouse but is made with fish and it was brought here by sailors .There is a line of thought that scouse was once the same .Tomato and red pepper soup and just traditional stew (beef, carrots, onion and potato). It's a toughie AT.Even if so, you would stay involved as a coach I’m sure? No club can let experienced players just slip out without a job.

Age catches up with us all in our sporting endeavours.Add in I'm no longer willing to play with injuries and whilst in pain and then that if the weather's like this I don't particularly want to go out driving at night and my enthusiasm for playing is being eroded.

Scouse is like our stew, very close to it but I think stew is thicker. I have only tried Scouse a few times though in fairness, largely because stew is so common here. I would say the Finnish dish was brought by sailors, same as how Scouse Mum’s brought stew with them to Liverpool from Ireland.Sounds great ,scouse was a favourite of mine ,they have a meal here the sounds like scouse but is made with fish and it was brought here by sailors .There is a line of thought that scouse was once the same .
