I'd be more concerned about Palace than Spurs. Palace have shown they can develop these talents and sell them on to top clubs (Olise, Eze), whereas Spurs have signed Gray and the lad from Burnley in the last year or two and both have faded into the background there.

Hopefully we've done enough groundwork at this stage that it won't matter though.

DCL yes. Beto 8 in 30 (only 1500 minutes as lots of sub appearances early season) and Barry 11 in 35 so no, it isn’t “better than”.

Recruitment has been dire, slow, and penny pinching it seems. Yes, previous recruitment has been poor season’s prior, but this is supposed to be a new era. Anything but, same old Everton.

Get a RW - Dibling/fofana pay the money.
Get a someone who can play the 6 - Hayden Hackney pay the money. Or if we are penny pinching Josh brownhill (yes not my favourite option but again a free transfer)
Left back cover needed : chilwell( Chelsea want rid and we could probably get him cheap) /ake (probably more expensive but can cover numerous positions) /regullion (yes not great but prem experience act as cover for myko but available on a free transfer 2 year contract cost effective)
Right back - can’t really think of a decent right back we could get, seen the ones of James Justin, could be ok for a reasonable price 5-7m.
Striker - obvious we need a target man, Beto and Barry just are not that type of player. I honestly would go for mitrovic who seems to be available for cheap/free as they have used up there forgein placements in the Saudi league, or get sorloth on loan from a.madrid another one that although didn’t do well at palace when he first came to the prem he has done well everywhere else he has went and scored goals.

You can agree or disagree but I think it’s obvious we need another 5 at least. Delve into the free transfer market if we are penny pinching. Then buy in the 3 positions we need, It surely can’t be that hard.
