Ah, so we could only identify a few players for our system, and they don’t even play on the same wing so we then have to restructure the rest of recruitment to fit this anomalyNot all of them are for sale my simple minded friend.
Ffs - it’s amazing

It amazes me how many people in this thread have not noticed that in the year 2025 more teams use a right footer on the left and a leftie on the right than the 70/80s left on left, right on right. This is because more goals and assists come from cutting in and shooting/linking up than old fashioned crosses on the run. We have tall strikers but they are both more effective running in behind than as old school 9s. Given time to adjust McNeil absolutely can provide at least functional depth on the right IMO.
Tbf, we are a prem team, we can afford most players in the workd we just haven’t made a coherent plan as to who they should beNot all of them are for sale my simple minded friend.
It definitely isn’t as basic and simple as that though is it? Defenders aren’t just going to let left footers waltz in from the right and have as many pot shots as they want.
To create that space and open up the pitch you need to be able to shift and change direction quickly, drop a shoulder, have a burst of pace to get away, and occasionally go on the outside and stand one up with your weak foot to make it less predictable what you’re going to do. Have you ever seen McNeil show any of these attributes? You haven’t, because he can’t play on the right.

Can he run fast and play on the wing?
If so, get him in Moyles!!!
99.9% of them aren’t good enough to play in the premier league. Do we have a plan or don’t we? Really confused.Tbf, we are a prem team, we can afford most players in the workd we just haven’t made a coherent plan as to who they should be
Video unavailable but is it McNeil scoring a screamer against us 5 years ago from a central position by any chance?
McNeil can’t play on the
Crystal palace this past season was another.
Vs Ipswich as well
I agree on the overall point here, butIt definitely isn’t as basic and simple as that though is it? Defenders aren’t just going to let left footers waltz in from the right and have as many pot shots as they want.

Dibling is a player that does display these attributes, and that’s why he is a left footer that plays on the right.

Totally agree. McNeil does not have the ability to beat a man or put a cross in with his weaker foot.It definitely isn’t as basic and simple as that though is it? Defenders aren’t just going to let left footers waltz in from the right and have as many pot shots as they want.

I agree on the overall point here, but
Obviously a fantastic player but it worked for him about 5000 times so![]()
