2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Gbamin on there after being released from Zurich. Valued at £2m

You wonder if it was the injuries or wether he wasnt quite good enough but looking at his whole career only one club ever spent big bucks on him.
Very Everton.

He was only about 23 when we bought him wasn’t he? We will never know how good he would’ve been if he hadn’t picked up back to back year long ACL injuries.

Most of them are courting upwards of £100k+ a week and god knows how many millions for a signing on fee.

Some players will have bidding wars for their signatures. Some will be waiting weeks to find clubs desperate to pay it. Some will compromise or have no club.

De Gea spent a year without a club when he left United I think mainly due to his wage demands he wasn't backing down from. At Fiorentina now
Most of them?

Tyrick Mitchell is the 3rd highest valued player according to that list. I do not think he's going to be courting 100k offers pal.

Outside of Dom and Mitchell, for Premier League players, transfermarkt rates the next highest valued available players as Kyle Walker Peters and Thomas "Serial Danger" Partey and Kenny Tete.

Do you think we've offered Tete 100k? Read through that list, its full of crap.

Fair dos. Maybe not most. But the higher profile names.... Dom, Doucoure, David, Messi, Lindelof, Partey, will all be wanting £100k+ a week.

Mitchell is probably asking for £100k a week which is why he did sign a contract and has Spurs and Arsenal hovering over him.

Regardless it's not about what they'll get, it's what they feel they should get.

3y contract for £15.6m could be construed as £100k per week.
Personally I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if those were the sort of figures he was being offered on a bosman.
Chunk of it may be upfront as a ‘signing on fee’ so appears a lower wage, but it ultimately depreciates the same way.

I wonder what the views were on Tarks salary when he signed as he is on 100k and I’m sure will have had a decent signing on fee as well. I imagine most wouldn’t have been happy signing a relegated Burnley CB on those wages.

I’d be surprised if Tete was offered more than 75/80k though based off his injury record.

If he stays, this thread blows up.

I don't think it matters if he stays or goes.

He won't be the starting striker or we wouldn't be lashing bids around for one right now. I'm fine with that if he wants to be part of the squad but we just can't have all our eggs in his basket.
