2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I wonder what was going through JonJoe's mind at that very moment

TOP BEAK THIS LAD

So why did countless freak results happen then?
Was the lowest percentage season for home wins in PL history.

Average before this season was 46%, and that season was about 38%.

Which suggests no home advantage due to lack of fans.

Saying that, this season was only 40%. So maybe not so clear cut.

You’d also expect it to be the season with most goals scored based off the fact you are suggesting he could only do it with no fans as it wasn’t real. (So surely if you think it meant DCL could score more, that is the same for every player/team?). But it’s actually the season with the lowest goals per game in like the last 7 seasons.

No that’s not how it works. I’m not saying that every player would’ve scored 10 goals more than their usual average. Some defenders also will have performed better in front of no fans, like Michael Keane, or those two bum League 1 centre backs that the RS had to play for a string of games. There were so many variables that were affected as a result of having glorified training sessions that it can’t be considered a real season. Variables that magically disappeared and returned to their norm as soon as fans were reintroduced.

Why did we randomly win “away” at Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal? Why did recently promoted Villa beat the runaway champions 7-2? Why did Sam Allardyce’s West Brom score 5 at Stamford bridge? Why did Leicester beat champions elect Man City 5-2 at the Etihad? Why did Dominic Calvert-Lewin smash his own scoring record out of the park by about 10?

He didn’t. He beat it by 3.

We are going to keep this lad aren't we? He will then play the first 5 games of the season without scoring, and get injured. Beto will come in score goals, and then be dropped for DCL.
