Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Both Ndiaye and Grealish are quality versatile players, and both would start in our 11
I disagree that Grealish looked meh also and only poor after the treble win and not getting the game time, but look at city's squad, it's easy to fall out of that regular 11 and still be a great player
I just don't see it. I'd prefer signing players with upside. I can see more sense in a McAtee deal than a Grealish one. Would also prefer not fannying about with versatility either. When a player has proven that he's good enough in one position then let them make it their own. Ndiaye has done that with LW, keep him there. Yes, he can move about if we have injuries but no point trying to fix something which isn't broken.

So people talking about relegation in August or going with what we have got in May - despite neither ever being correct - is that not a bit much, even to you? Cos that is where it starts.
It's maybe half a dozen people who go to those extremes. Just ignore them. By haranguing them, and scooping up others in your net, all you do is make the conversation last longer. Which, I'm guessing, is the opposite to the outcome you want.

Mate, I literally turned Matty from eeyore (can’t be arsed spell) to tigger by haranguing him - not sure which version is worse tbh

I personally think we should buy players who are 23 and under, Jack G would be the wrong type to buy, to expensive and to high wages
I'd agree. But we wouldn't be buying Grealish, just renting him for a bit...
As for wages... good players cost high wages, sooner or later. If we want a top six team we need a top 6 wage bill.
Not overnight, but eventually. 👍🏻
