We had no money under Moshri in the end to buy young up and coming players, hopefully this now becomes a regular occurrenceReuben Gokah from Charlton is signing apparently. 16 year old Centre back.

Pep has tried him out there a fair few times and he was fineHe has barely played for city centrally. The overwhelming majority for City has been at LW. Even for Villa he was mostly a LW but played a bit more at AM.
Grealish can easily play centrally, has done so for City often
Free role the lad
He'd love it, we'd love it

In their five years at Roma they have had two high spending years, one year of moderate expenditure and two seasons where they recouped large amounts through transfers.
I'm not saying that they won't spend money here, in just saying that we don't know if they will. We have no real idea of what their long term plans are for the club as they haven't really communicated anything other than platitudes.
You're optimistic, I get that, I'm not criticising you or anyone else for that. Others are more reticent, which in my opinion is also reasonable. All I'm saying is that people who are less optimistic shouldn't be harangued and called names when there is currently no evidence to contradict their positions.
What version of Grealish improves us though? The narrative surrounding him is based on things he was doing 2-3+ seasons ago because Pep has apparently caged him. Maybe he's just fell off?Pep has tried him out there a fair few times and he was fine
Had more freedom at Villa which suits him
He could play anywhere in our midfield regardless and it would be an upgrade
Even if LW Ndiaye was RW for Senegal yesterday
I wouldn't get hung up on Grealish position myself, he'd improve us

So people talking about relegation in August or going with what we have got in May - despite neither ever being correct - is that not a bit much, even to you? Given his age and more recent performances I’d have probably considered it a risky move with little up side before he nearly lost his leg in a car crash .I doubt it is tbh. Could be wrong but can see us trying to get a stop gap for a year and spending money elsewhere.
Why can't you name the fan channel? There was a shout in the nameless fan youtube channel for Burkardt from Mainz which I thought was a very good one.
I personally would like a smaller more mobile striker with a few more years under his belt (he's 24) to throw £40mill at rather than a younger up and coming one.
We need someone to come in and score rather than adjust or have dips in form. He's also the opposite to Beto.
People forgetting about Chermiti also who does need games

When you look at those stats more closely though you will see that only 8 of the 157 appearances at City are at AM. His two PL seasons with Villa before joining City have 14 appearances at AM with 2 assists and 1 goal compared to 16 goals and 14 assists at LW.Grealish on the left, Ndiaye though the middle with Alcaraz as a back up for both. McNeil on the right and another new signing as an alternative. Though Grealish is versalite enough... Anyway, despite all this, still don't think it's ever happening

He's a quality player
Even in Peps cage he still played well albeit within himself
A loan with most wages covered is a no brainer
I'd agree with that. It's not that I don't think he's a good player, it's just that the squad has a number of actual holes in it, and making one of our biggest signings someone who doesn't fill any of those holes would seem like the sort of daft thing we've been doing for years, leading to us becoming the shambles that we are at the moment. When you look at those stats more closely though you will see that only 8 of the 157 appearances at City are at AM. His AM appearances seem to mostly be when they were in the Championship.
I just think it would be a poor move. He hasn't looked quality since his first season at City. Since then he's looked meh with flashes of brilliance. He's mostly played as a LW in the PL and we don't need one of those. We have Ndiaye who is better than him on current form.
Both Ndiaye and Grealish are quality versatile players, and both would start in our 11When you look at those stats more closely though you will see that only 8 of the 157 appearances at City are at AM.
