There was a shout in the nameless fan youtube channel for Burkardt from Mainz which I thought was a very good one.
I personally would like a smaller more mobile striker with a few more years under his belt (he's 24) to throw £40mill at rather than a younger up and coming one.
We need someone to come in and score rather than adjust or have dips in form. He's also the opposite to Beto.

Pep has tried him out there a fair few times and he was fine
Had more freedom at Villa which suits him

Grealish on the left, Ndiaye though the middle with Alcaraz as a back up for both. McNeil on the right and another new signing as an alternative. Though Grealish is versalite enough... Anyway, despite all this, still don't think it's ever happening

They've spent about £240 million net, in five years. On top of buying the club. And that's Serie A spending too don't forget, a league that is widely regarded as not being able to financially compete with PL clubs.
Look, I get what you're saying, there's no evidence yet of what they're gonna do here, but of course there isn't, they've not had the opportunity to do anything yet. It's not people having reservations that becomes tiresome, it's the doom mongers, naysayers and yes, bedwetters who are tiresome. We all have concerns going in to this season, but there's room for optimism too, but some people just don't like any optimism it would appear, and for what it's worth, I don't think you're one of those people tbh, but there's some on here who definitely have that mindset; like that serial agitator @ForeverEverton for a start. I don't think anybody has been called out for having sensible concerns that have been aired in a reasonable manner that doesn't follow a pattern of repeat, repeat, repeat.

What version of Grealish improves us though? The narrative surrounding him is based on things he was doing 2-3+ seasons ago because Pep has apparently caged him. Maybe he's just fell off?

Given his age and more recent performances I’d have probably considered it a risky move with little up side before he nearly lost his leg in a car crash .

Think that only works if you have wingers who are effectively forwards to get beyond him. Otherwise that profile of player is better off as a 2nd striker, and we already have Ndiaye who can do that role.
On Chermitti, think he needs a loan at a good level imo. Championship / Erevidese / Ligue 1 maybe.

When you look at those stats more closely though you will see that only 8 of the 157 appearances at City are at AM. His two PL seasons with Villa before joining City have 14 appearances at AM with 2 assists and 1 goal compared to 16 goals and 14 assists at LW.Grealish on the left, Ndiaye though the middle with Alcaraz as a back up for both. His AM appearances seem to mostly be when they were in the Championship.
I just think it would be a poor move. He hasn't looked quality since his first season at City. Since then he's looked meh with flashes of brilliance. He's mostly played as a LW in the PL and we don't need one of those. We have Ndiaye who is better than him on current form.
I'd agree with that. It's not that I don't think he's a good player, it's just that the squad has a number of actual holes in it, and making one of our biggest signings someone who doesn't fill any of those holes would seem like the sort of daft thing we've been doing for years, leading to us becoming the shambles that we are at the moment.
Both Ndiaye and Grealish are quality versatile players, and both would start in our 11
I disagree that Grealish looked meh also and only poor after the treble win and not getting the game time, but look at city's squad, it's easy to fall out of that regular 11 and still be a great player
