Being proactive isn’t for us, as someone said earlier some “new era” this.

I do think there’s some truth in them waiting for 1st July for PSR reasons but the fact they’ve only just held a ‘recruitment summit’ today is pretty poor really. They should’ve had a plan in place months ago and a clutch of players ready to come in on 1st July.

We bid £30 Million for Delap am not too sure if he had chose us Ipswich would have allowed us to wait until 1st July….

Touché…however I’m sure their fans will be a lot more encouraged by legitimate news of bidding for players than the relative silence on our end. I’m just a bit worried that there’s not really a plan in place and it’ll all be a bit slapdash.

Also spending money isn’t it all this summer, we all know we will need to use loans and free transfers again no reason we can’t be onto these at this stage.

? I’m not wetting the bed or anything just yet like… I just think it’ll be a tough ask for a whole new recruitment team to pull off the window we require. I’m sure by mid July we’ll have a good few players through the door and I’ll look silly but just expressing concerns at this present moment that’s all.

How do they know bids are legitimate?

True but I would generally consider anything being reported by The Athletic to be pretty close to the truth, they don’t tend to publish any old rubbish.

Yeah I do agree tbf. Think these days there’s a constant need for news/rumours and going a few days without any causes a bit of anxiety I guess.

I see that you only joined in January. If you'd been around longer you would know that @Noisy noise annoys thinks we're going to sign loads of players every window and tells off anyone who thinks otherwise. It's his main thing on here.
