Castore - get rid?

It's simple for me, whoever offers the most, that's who we go with. It's not a fashion show. We need money to compete. They're offering way more than anyone else.

I wouldn't mind, but the majority refuse to wear the shirt to the match because it's not scouse to do so. So why are you bothered? It's blue, it makes us money.

Everton get 20 mill a season from Castore dont they?. Villa are not getting that from adidias. Spurs and Newcastle get around 30 mill. These are teams in europe. We are probably best of the rest until we start improving and get back into Europe.

If you look at what Adidas pay teams in the Premier League, it goes from £2m a season to £75m. Looking at shirt sales we are normally just behind Newcastle in the list, with them at around 500k shirts and us around 450k shirts. They get around £30m, but there is an element of exposure built into that as well with Newcastle playing in Europe. Villa are at £17m, but they sell a lot less, with around 175k shirts. Possibly Adidas could match Castores' £20M a season, but I don't think they will, unless we get into europe or win some trophies.

Adidas 2025-26 Premier League Teams

  • Arsenal - £75m per season
  • Aston Villa - £17m per season
  • Fulham - £2m a season
  • Leeds United - £10m a season
  • Liverpool - £60m a season
  • Manchester United - £75m a season
  • Newcastle United - £30m a season
  • Nottingham Forest - £4m a season

Newcastle also have no direct competition in a city with a population of 829,000.

They’re only just outperforming us despite us having to compete with one of the biggest clubs in world football. Shocking from the horse punchers when you put it in that context.
