£30m is a lot to spend on one player. If we want a good level striker we will need to pay more. We also need to sign about half a squad. So, no. We won't be paying top dollar for players. £30m isn't a lot for a striker. We paid about that for Beto. Delap was only so cheap because of a release clause. At that price it would have been stupid not to try.

He is decent at that level. Gets through a lot of work as far as I can see. But would be surprised if he can make the step up.
