100% everyone wants a striker. Always. They are the highest value players and biggest game changes by far. Their value can sky rocket on the back of a purple patch. It's why beating Moyes with the can't sign strikers stick is crazy. He bought Johnson, Yakubu, Saha and Jelavic who all had periods when they were very successful. Signing a 15 goal a season striker on a budget is very difficult.

The most Everton one I can find is Costa Rican midget Manfred Alonso Ugalde Arce.

Best young player in the 2019 CONCACAF League tournament, a Costa Rican International, plays for Spartak Moscow, only 23 and most importantly was Top Scorer in the Russian League last season with 17 goals in 29 games.

Would single-handedly bring back the attacking excitement of the Martinez years.

Probably available for £15M or less if we could find a way around military, political and sporting sanctions. We could perhaps secretly exchange him for Chermiti in a Ukrainian forest clearing during a ceasefire or something?

I don't think so. Lots of clubs are happy with what they've got up front, whereas Everton desperately need a striker.

Mate, Chelsea just spent £30m on a striker that managed 12. You think we are just going to go out and get a 20goal a season striker after finishing 13th when since the PL began, the majority of strikers that managed 20 (certainly consistently) are nearly always in the top 4/5 teams.

We desperately need one, but if a 20 goal a season striker is available, any club will go for them if it’s an improvement on what they already have.
