“Chris Sutton for a shiney Everton badge?” Koff lad…Remember the lad at school who would always try swapping you his excess Panini stickers for your rare shiny? Well, this is like that.

I'd swop Branthwaite for McAtee plus O'Reilly, Stones and Akanji. Plus enough wedge to pay all their salaries for 3 years.... Then it would maybe be a fair deal.No no and no.
The athletic article that came out this morning suggested we are in talks with Man City’s director of scouting. Also stated other people already in place. Think this is the last position to fill?
Im fairly sure it's from Ua meaning son of in Irish.….seems like the O’ prefix is from Vikings.
It might improve us short term, but the wages of Grealish and Stones would cripple us with PSR issues for years.Just throwing a hypothetical in here, if City offered £100m for Branthwaite on the proviso that we could sign Stones, Grealish, McAtee for the same combined total (or slightly less), would that be considered a decent / good deal, and it would it improve us?
That's a key appointment imo, no more leaving it till the last minute. We should have a transfer blueprint now for the summer window going forwards.Indeed it largely seems so. Paddy Boylands piece this morning saying Nick Hammond already in place and Chris Howarth in as Head of Strategy.
In talks with James Smith of Man City to become Head of Recruitment. He worked with Moyes in his first spell here and also at Man Utd.
Have to say I had not seen any confirmation of these appointments anywhere but it's good that they are here and working.

The Vikings just used "son".
Magnus(son)

The Vikings did indeed get everywhere, including well documented forays into Ireland.
The Irish also get everywhere.
Based upon this, and our success with Coleman at RB, I think we could do with a maurading Scandinavian and Irish duo at LB and RB.
We are probably looking at several players for same positions. Doesn't mean we sign them all, this is more like contigency planning. If first choice player isn't available or club finds price is too steep they can more quickly move to the next one when contact has already been made.Odd that we're supposedly looking at both McAtee and Doak. Very different players I think? Doak seems like an obvious fit for RW, but McAtee is more of an attacking midfielder.
I assume the point he's making is that it would be odd to be looking at players with entirely different profiles as alternatives in the same position. We are probably looking at several players for same positions. I know, but this is the Everton transfer thread, not Radio 4 Viking history hour."-sen" is more popular by a big margin.
Maybe more flexibility across the front line another way of looking at it (if they went for both)?I assume the point he's making is that it would be odd to be looking at players with entirely different profiles as alternatives in the same position.
Can play both mcatee would make sense to be after both. Doak can both sides of the pitch aswell, can see moyes wanting players that csn play multiple positions because of the limitations we have this window.Odd that we're supposedly looking at both McAtee and Doak.
