Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The echo journalists are the biggest doom
Merchants on the planet.

They get more clicks from Liverpool fans reading about Everton misery than from Everton fans reading positive articles.

The 2nd most popular news story in English football media after pro LFC propaganda is anti Everton propaganda because it’s the same massive rabble reading it.

Also happens when your out injured for a season

Injured for 10 games, only 4 more than N'diaye

With respect, you can’t throw out stuff like “looks like Branthwaite is off then” and not expect anyone to come back and ask you to cite your sources. If you’re going to do these sorts of dramatics every transfer window, you’re going to have to start providing quotes from your sources.
Well, just talking more about how the stories start to roll. The stories are starting now, Bobble's lot have been consistent that anything above £60m would be very difficult for the club to turn down and that we will be tight with PSR still - which other journalists are running with. This is how smaller clubs like us lose our players. And, no historically we're not small, but we are now.

When teams like Spurs and Man Utd can perform as badly as they have and still hoover up the best players at clubs that have actually performed better than them, the game is in trouble.

As of yesterday the bobble said there been no contact for Branthwaite from anyone

The jury is definitely out mate, he still was involved in 21 games.
I’ve seen nothing to think he would be worth buying we have one starting position up for grabs in centre midfield. And I’m hoping we get better than him

Im hopeing for the full 3 positions to he up for grabs.

Gana is good when its backs against the wall time but against teams we should be playing more football with hes a weak point imo. With his lack of positional discipline his pressing leaving space thats constantly exploited and poor passing ability means we struggle to dominate the midfield in games.

Then gardner and tim arent starters for me and as much as i like alcaraz hes still young and fades in and out of games.

What I meant was him filling a certain role, I could be wrong as not watched as much as some on here, but he’s not a defensive midfielder or a number 10, could probably do a job in the 10 as he seems to get forward, so you’re basically looking at the box to box, number 8 role. We need better than him in the 10 role imo.

I disagree about gana, but I aggee about Tim and garner, we need better than them starting next Season

I’d just like to point out that most of you missed the point on my earlier PSR post as things will remain tight in the current year ending 30 June which aligns with the Echo hint that (smaller) sales more likely than buys before then. After that we enter a new year with the expected direct match-day and indirect (commercial, other events etc.) boost from the new stadium together with a full year of lower interest charges from the debt restructuring will together create more head room to spend without posting a loss and threatening PSR on the rolling 3 year. We have a timing issue.

I think that this is actually the case mate.
