Things you have completely wasted money on

A Sony Betamax video recorder.

The Oldies will get this.
Lol... Betamax is to VHS what 8 Track tapes are to cassettes tapes.

But I think there are some rare Betamax videos out there that are worth a pretty penny.

My conservatory, too hot on the summer, too cold in the winter….. it’s just a glorified storage room
Kurt... I think you missed a beat there, mate.

- 'Things you have completely wasted money on.'
- 'Yer mar!'

That's very much unlike you, Kurtis! 😲

Edit:
Oh Snap! 🤣🤣

an education, what a colossal waste of time effort and money that was.

every soon to be lasagna I picked on the national.

fashion, doesn't make any difference, could be the best most on trend bit of tat there is, being significantly out of shape and difficult to size means it's ruined before it's begun.

curmudgeonly thread this. We were playing out a 1-0 away win 7 days ago. How quickly the euphoria evaporated.

So I just took a heap of rubbish to the tip which included a treadmill we bought about 15 years ago for about 3 grand, probably got used about 10 times in total. Got me thinking about other stuff I've just flushed money down the toilet on (not including crap like cigarettes and junk food etc).

Also once signed up to do an online diploma in business and marketing years ago, cost about 3 grand as well. Didn't even start the course once it all turned up in the post.

Anyone got any other stories like that?
Used to see them on the car boots for a £1 - scrap dealers purchased them .....

A rowing machine. Used about 5 times, for bored. Gave it away.

Clothes, historically. Less due to being a fashion conscious fella (anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a bad tramp), but more to do with approach. I'd buy cheap, but stuff used to wear out/shrink/fade. Will happily spend on quality as it lasts.

Cars. Just generally feel like a lifelong money sink replacing, servicing, insuring etc.
