But he’s not playing in a 3 if we have a number 10, that’s not going to work and he’s not good enough to play Rigjt wing , I think he’s not good enough for where we want to go, left him go to Burnley or Leeds. I get we need a squad, but he will cost a lot of money to be a squad player, and the rumour is TFG don’t want to wasting money on older players, I think the only chance that happens, if for a very good player who starts every week and would make a big difference to the team

The whole point of my post is I don’t think we do play a 10 next season, or rather we shouldn’t.

Ndiaye wants to come into that position too much, McNeil does from the other side too, so there’s zero point in also having a dedicated number 10 which is why Doucoure normally just ended up running upfront next to the striker when we had the ball.

If it was me I’d play a 433 with Ndiaye on the left of the front three who would tuck in to turn it into a diamond at times. Therefore you’d need a midfield three behind that. Hamer could play in there.

Knowing Moyes along with Friedkins being comprehensive in their approach running a club I think we'll make the necessary moves to bolster the squad. Moyes seems cognizant on what an opportunity this is to enhance his standing as a manager. I'm already encouraged by us signing Charly and resigning gana. Obviously a lot of gaps in the squad currently but I think we have a solid foundation in place with Ndiaye, Charly and O'Brien. Just have to build on that, keep branthwaite unless we can get obscene funds from Chelsea to reinvest and do it early , no protracted saga transpiring over the summer

I can see us signing several players this summer to expand the squad ranging from free transfers to around 15-20 mil. Similar to how we have just signed Alcaraz for 12.5 mil.

I don’t think there will be a big marquee signing player unless Branthwaite leaves.

Always liked him and he's a decent goalscorer, question marks over his fitness suggests this is an idle link because of the Roma connection

I would take him if dcl is off as the second / fight beto for the starting cr postion and look to get another is a risk cos injuries. So hopefully if was player we wanted an easy loan to help us get a good deal

Hamer would start for us in my opinion. People massively overrate our midfield. It’s not very good. Garner is an average player, Doucoure wasn’t very good. Iroegbunam is very young, Armstrong has potentially but is unproven. Alcaraz shows flashes. All of the wide options except Ndiaye are average.

If Hamer arrived tomorrow he’d start in this team no problem.

People get far too hung up on age. Gana is 35 and is getting a new deal. Hamer is 7 years younger than him. If he gave us 3 years service and got us back into Europe he’d then still only be 31.

Moyes is ultimately a better judge of a player than anyone on here and if he’s interested I’d back his judgement because it’s not often wrong with midfielders.

I’m all for NSNO but there needs to be a realignment of reality in this window. People saying they like the look of Cherki. He’s probably going to City. Everton are not going to drop money on some young attacking playmaker that fans have seen starring in European tournaments or top leagues. The CL clubs of Europe will sweep them up no doubt.

We need to make the next leg up to being a team that can qualify for any sort of Europe. It Moyes thinks Hamer helps bring the squad up to that level then I back him.

Just the price for me also dont kin his best position is ut out wide who i think could get better suited wingers who we need. Or is it as a backup to fight alcaraz for the cam role in the team

All depends what price wouldnt really look into youtube the lens player does seem to look good. Same with the villareal lad looks similar to doak a young player with room to grow and inprove
