Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

two isn’t it? If so, that might be what forces our hand a little
We have an extra year option luckily - what United always do

Moyes said this in April: Good players will always be linked with moves away, especially good young players,” the Everton manager said in Friday’s news conference. “But you have to remember Jarrad’s got a three-year contract left, he’s got two years and a year’s option so if anything Everton hold all the cards regarding that player.

If Chelsea’s interest is genuine then I wouldnt be suprised to see them make an offer for Branthwaite which could be worth up to 80 mil with probably a sell on fee agreed as well. I don’t think we would reject that offer.
80m over 9 years most likely so 9m to spend to replace him.

The world record transfer fee for a defender is 80 mil

I think it is completely unrealistic to think that we would get a world record transfer fee for Branthwaite. Tarkowski has a better rating than him this season and he was a free signing.

If Huijsen went for 50 mil then I think teams are only going to pay around that figure for a young highly rated defender in this current market

Then don't sell at all.

£80m is a huge amount for a defender I agree. As I said earlier Moyes fights to keep his best players though - look at Lescott

Surely the owners won’t want to sell our crown jewel their first Summer. Wouldn’t look great

Branthwaite didn’t kick up a fuss last year and would expect him to this year. The only thing worrying me is lack of international recognition potentially as Tuchal seems to want players playing in Champions League

I believe he was bought last summer in the expectation that Branthwaite would be sold.

Just so happened that nobody came to us with an offer to blow our socks off, and he stayed. Club is probably bracing itself for more realistic others this summer than £40m or whatever was offered last time.

But yes, he should be JT's replacement probably from 2026/27. I do think he'll ultimately turn out to be JB's though, and then we'll bring in another CB who will inevitably take JT's place in 2 seasons' time.

What I really want is a long-term, or at least 2-3 seasons of JOB and JB together.

Need them both to stay and a Branthwaite long term replacement signed.

We have been scouting Neil El Aynaoui. Can play DM and scored 8 goals last season. Deffo need a mid who can chip in with 5+ goals. Our goal and assist return from midfield has been shocking for years.

Not seen him play
