Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The only players from Man City I could realistically see us going in for are

Kyle Walker - last year of his contract, not wanted at city, not wanted at Milan, so a loan deal with them meeting a proportion of his wages isn’t unrealistic. We would get a RB we badly need, though I appreciate some think he’s over the hill, but compared to what we’ve had last few seasons he’s a young buck.

Mcatee - clearly not going to break into city’s team permanently, so probably the type of signing we should be looking at. Loads of potential, sell on value if he progresses.
Neither of them are realistic, If we couldn’t get Delap I see less chance of Mcatee.

I’ve seen Kone and Bolasie rip us apart, it’s definitely not a reason to sign a player.
Are we suggesting that’s the reason? He was a previously very promising player that we could have an opportunity to nurture back to form. We’ve been previously linked. He could be available on loan.

It’s not a wild suggestion to make??

I’d love to know what’s the score with Chermiti. I was at the match where he came on and made a really good impact (West Ham home?).. got a couple of (difficult) shots on target and seemed comfortable at that level, Moyes even singled him out for praise afterwards.. since then, radio silence. Anyone know what’s gone on? Why he didn’t get minutes over Broja etc?

Because he has nowhere else to go

Would like to know that too
Thought we'd see more of him towards the end of the season

no not at all
We don’t have the luxury to drop 100million on Wirtz knowing he’ll be good, we have to take risks and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves - especially when considering players we may not have been able to recruit if not for circumstance.

We took a risk on Alli and it failed

We took a risk on Ndiaye and he’s our best outfield player.

You just have to hope you get the right support around these guys and hope they hit.

I agree we do have to take risks others don't and should be
It's the risks around injured players that backfire though
He's not just been out of form and favour, he's clearly not near what he was

Having said that I'd take him on loan, but wouldn't be suprised if it was another Broja scenario
