Reliable or not?

I think the fact it’s blacklisted answers my question

Andy Hunter in the Guardian confirms that Everton are working to extend Idrissa.

Everton officials are in talks with their Brazilian counterparts over finalising the transfer on the terms originally agreed, and have until Saturday to sign Alcaraz at that price. The club also hope to extend Idrissa Gueye’s second spell on Merseyside with the midfielder’s current contract due to expire at the end of next month.

Hope he stays. Biggest nicker we have.
Needed to re-read that there!

Him signing for another year is absolutely massive. Keeping all my fingers crossed we get this done soon.

The reality is that he is one of the biggest moves we have to make this season. We have SO many holes to fill elsewhere, Gana is probably our most important outfield player (and has been since he’s been here). Having to replace him on top of all the other priorities tips the summer from ‘a difficult but achievable task’ to ‘oh [Poor language removed]’

It would be a depressing old Summer if that were true.

I think we should keep him on for a year or two, like, but if doing that ends up being our most important signing I suggest we’ll have some issues next year.
He's the engine of the team and makes the side tick. Alot of teams most important players aren't just their flashy ones. Just look at how Man City coped without Rodri. If Gana doesn't sign a new deal and having been our player of the season I think that would lead into bigger issues going into the new season imo. Put it like this, if he doesn't sign a new contract, getting someone in to replace him becomes then the most important signing of the summer.
