If you extrapolate his points per game over a 38 game season you get about 62 points, which is a very solid return and would put us in 8th. Give him a bit more quality in the summer and with the amount of teams who’ll be playing European football next year we have a very good chance of getting European football and/or a cup run

I'm not really pushing for it.

Itld be strange to do so even for us. But I dont think TFG see him as their man so he needs to get us very buoyant very quickly.

My only desire is to see Everton safe.

Moyes wont do it and these players need a boost. Southgate would hand us it. Illd hand these players self belief. And boy do they need it.

He's done brilliantly well. He couldn't have done any better.

Allardyce had us finish 8th.

Like Allardyce, we all know what Moyes is as a manager.

Opinions have long been formed over 20+ years. There isn't a manager in world football who Evertonians will have a more sure opinion on than Moyes.

To be fair, I don't think many would have been confident Man Utd/Spurs would be below 40 points on gameweek 37 either.

Nor would anyone have expected the bottom 3 to go on to be the worst bottom 3, ever.

On a personal level I dont like him. But as far as doing a job here as manager I'm open minded...but he really will have to have us top half to show we can progress under him. If he dos that next season then ok.

One thing I will say about Gareth, mate:

He does have a nose for sniffing out young football talent.

He won't be sacked this summer. He will be sacked as soon as he gives them reason to sack him. If past history is anything to go by, that could be as early as November...

If TFG back him they won’t accept best of the rest so Moyes is going to have to breach his ceiling or be replaced. The unknown being the amount of time he’s given.
