Maybe we could stick him back on the RW

Just being a squad player might suit him. Play less, injured less. Play from bench, odd goal. If he does well sell. If not use sparingly. But he’s never fit. So it’s dead money 50% of the time.
How is that any good or use to anybody apart from him and his bank balance?
On the right deal, I would keep him.
So true, nothing to lose. Offer a low ball and see what happens.Yeah, tbf that applies to any of the players at end of their deals. I'd have kept the likes of Keane, Doucoure and Young for the right wages.
DCL is still young enough to pursue a better deal though imo so don't think we'll offer him what he's willing to accept.

I said 15k a week. Which if he is injured is 60k a month - in premier league terms it is nothing? I mentioned a 30k goal bonus - to pay 180k a month he would need to score 4 goals. Well worth it but purely speculative. So you want the club to pay £180k a month to a player who we know is barely fit. I have to be honest, I find that rather weird.
Where does he get that if not here? Not sure of his wages but doubt there's many suitors for himAnyone thinking he stays on a reduced wage needs their heads testing. He’ll be wanting a pay rise and a long term deal.

Let him go then. Everton are in the box seat on this one.Anyone thinking he stays on a reduced wage needs their heads testing. He’ll be wanting a pay rise and a long term deal.
