Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

…good point, he’s certainly young enough to turn those stats around.

I do think Kane has always been about quality, he also hits a ‘heavy ball’ which is a big plus for strikers. From what I’ve seen, Delap’s game is based on him being competitive and combative, much more Beattie than Kane.
Faster than Beattie, stronger than Beattie, more skill, better first touch, better passer, can beat a player which Beattie never could . Other than that they're identical.

If Delap goes to Man Utd or Chelsea (especially Chelsea), he will absolutely regret it.

He's perfect for us under Moyes.

Hopefully the photo of him in Liverpool yesterday around our new ground is true and we get him signed pronto.

Could be the catalyst for others to follow.

Circus clubs. Will both have new managers in 6 months wanting entirely different players. Get paid lots for sure but they kill more careers than grow.
Palmer will probably find himself frozen out soon enough. Any young player joining them is very badly advised.

Personally from the little Ive seen I don't rate Delap.
Yes, I fall into your category , watched quite a lot of him this past season. His decision making at times really let's him down. He seems to like to try and ruffle up defenders as we saw at goodison park.
He has gone off the boil since Xmas and has spent time on the bench recently. Far from the finished product and 30 million is about right for him.
Btw @chicoazul recognise this from their TWTD forum Screenshot_20250523_170343_Chrome.webp

You say that but the defenders in Beatties day were ten times what’s around today. They make the England Centre Halves look like Craig short.
