Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Everton eyeing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike
Ahead of the window opening, Moyes would be open to two striker signing this summer with Armando Broja set to leave the club.

He may not be the only departure in that department, but the Blues are now eyeing one of Europe’s hottest striker talents.

….i really don’t see a clamour of top clubs after Delap, even at £30m. United seem leading contenders but we could be in the mix if Moyes wants him, especially after the EL result.

Personally, not overly bothered about him.
United's pulling power and financial capability are both very much in the toilet, too.

Who knows what they can actually afford and who they can actually attract this summer?

If £62.5 million is being dropped on Cunha, surely there's not a lot left over.

….good point, we could be one of the best options he has.

24 goals in 106 games, bit of a fuss. Record on loan in Championship is ordinary;

Are we only supposed to be going after players that top clubs want this summer then? I’m sure that’ll end excellently for us.

Be surprised if he doesnt have significant choices.

At 30 mill, many will offer him a deal, in the hope they can improve on that investment, while putting him to work.

Not saying he’s anywhere near the level at the moment.

But just feel Delap would be a proper Lukaku moment for us, can’t explain it.

Don’t know if it’s just because we’ve been deprived of any exciting prospect leading the line in about 8 years 😂
Its called hope, a very serious condition that can indeed prove fatal if not treated urgently. 🤒
Dont panic yet as DCL and Keane signing new deals should sort you out in no time. 😅

…the point I was making is that we’re supposed to have little chance in getting Delap, posters/reports indicating United are in pole position and that he’s instructed his advisors he’s only interested in top clubs.

The reality could be quite different.

….be interesting if he’s at an English Champions League club next season or even if any bid for him, I’m not sure they would.

Wouldbt be falling over for Delap. His goal record isn't great. It will be a gamble to an extent whomever we get though. Goals are very hard to buy at the best of times. We have to have plenty of players carrying that burden and bring goals from wide and midfield too.

I have a theory lads of Fergusons, Haaland and Delaps build wont last in modern football beyond a certain age before injuries become problematic, its already started with Haaland and Ferguson.
