Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

In the Guardian, apparently his representatives have told clubs that he's only interested in top of the table/ clubs in Europe.
Obviously wants to take his chances with a top team off the back of a decent season, but the expectation on him will be completely different see if he lives up to it.

Why do people keep obsessing with Delap. He hasn't even been that good this season. His goal ratio to minutes is worse than Beto. He even has a worse goals to minutes than fellow Ipswich striker George Hirst who has 0.47, Beto has 0.5 and delap has 0.42. I get that he's younger but a lot of it is just hype.

I trust Moyes to find some better option abroad or elsewhere.
His hold up playing, runs into the channels and mastery of dark arts makes him a well rounded prospect. He’s 22 with a high ceiling. The obsession though comes from the release clause, it’s very difficult to find all those properties in a PL-tested striker at that age for that price guaranteed

….the top teams want players who score goals from nothing, like Isak. Delap is combative and competitive but he looked very ordinary against our CBs, indeed Hirst created more problems when he came on.

I’d not be overly keen on Delap, surely better out there for £30m.
So you're basing your opinion on the player based on one appearance against the team with one of the best defensive records in the country? Seems fair! No disrespect to your judgement but Chelsea, Newcastle, Man United, Everton and I would suggest every other Premier League team bar Man City, Arsenal and the rs would want him. It's a moot point anyway because he isn't coming.

I suppose you can't blame him but he's only 22 and there are countless players who've failed when they haven't taken that "middle rung" of going to a club better than theirs but not at the very top

He didn't look great against us but there'll be plenty of fans of other teams who'd be able to say the same about Ndiaye, Branthwaite etc if they were daft enough to base their opinion on a one off game.

I compare him to that Luton lad. He a decent season but it’s only one season. There has to be better options out there.

linked to Danish 21 year old RB at Galatasary, Elias Jelert for around £6.7m. Story that Galatasary may prefer a loan

Be decent value seeing as he still has 19 years left playing
