Al-Shabab supposedly. Gets a lucrative final contract, and be closer to his family.
Best of luck to him.
Best of luck to him.
I’m fairly sure knowing how Moyes likes to build we will have enough come season start. But I don’t wholly disagree, we do need numbers
I don't get the bitterness. If I could leave my current employ for a sizable wage increase for the same work whilst leaving my current employ on good terms for the last 2-3 years of my working career, I would for sure. And we all would. For sure.
I'm absolutely sure he does 'love the Club' and he will look back on his time here as probably his best footballing experience. But as @ChicagoToffee says it's a short career - and I know it's exceptionally well paid (probably ridiculously so) - but if he can maximise those earnings in his last couple of years as a professional then good luck to him. He doesn't owe us anything and, truth be known, we maybe owe him!reports are we offered him a contract but on lower wages so he’s gone
so much for loving the club
the argument will be ‘would you take a paycut at your job?’ but i think anyone comparing football to a normal profession doesnt really know what theyre talking about
enjoy saudi and all the millions you’ll spend on what exactly? another ferrari?
It’s a job - if you could get significantly more money working for another company you’d take it wouldn’t you? Whether you loved your current job or not.im happy he's leaving. not bitter
my issue is him it's him crying to PED that he should have a pay increase and doign all this performative 'i love the club' stuff
if he loved the club he'd stick around on a lower salary (if he has been offered one) - he's set for life because of this club
I do agree, that is a downside but, nevertheless, it's all smoke and mirrors and, ultimately, he wants to do right for himself and his family. He's maybe trying to push the envelope by suggesting he's worth more but, realistically, he would probably be extremely happy to secure another two year contract on similar terms. Time to go, lad. You've served us well, contributed a lot but your age and the fact that you struggle to trap a bag of cement means your time is up.im happy he's leaving. not bitter

So 'reports' mean facts ?reports are we offered him a contract but on lower wages so he’s gone
