Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning everyone,

Hope that @anjelikaferrett and @Barnfred 55 are not too sore this morning.

Mrs J off to the Rescue shop today so after doing the animals and sorting mum out it will be a day of gym and gardening for me.

Looks like the fine weather will break at the weekend. Sorry for those hoping to enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend and that it will mess up the cricket but delighted that at long long last ( at least 8 weeks) we will actually get some rain.

Watched a piece on the experiments to establish how the universe was started with matter and anti matter and neutrino and antineutrinos. Must confess that even as someone reasonably intelligent I was totally lost and bamboozled. However a fellow blue mates ( fellow lawyer ) son is an astro physicist and I recall a conversation that we were having a few years ago and at one point he interjected and said "Dad I don't understand a word that you 2 are talking about , it's like a foreign language". So, just goes to show .........different strokes for different folks.

Good to see the RS lose last night - bit petty I know but do you realise that they haven't won since being confirmed as PL champions...let's hope that they take that form into next season.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Dear God it must have been terrible for you both. While I’m sure the car etc will be sorted, the both of you will have difficulty getting this out of your heads. As long as you are both ok take care……
I've been contemplating yesterday's events and I must admit my train of thought has changed from how did this happen to us, to how lucky we both are ( so far) to have escaped more serious injury. Especially looking at the state of Anj's front end. (No offence Anj😀).

It was really scary and a helluva shunt. I know I just spent the first couple of minutes in a daze and checking myself to make sure all my bits were in place and functioning and checking with Anj that she was the same.

Good morning all on this fine day here . I hope all as well as can be expected .We are all so lucky that there seems to be no damage to Fred and Anj it was quite a shock to read the first post but more reassuring after catching up .I was once tailended and it took weeks for the problems to manifest themselves so make sure that all the right people know what happened and try to get a statement from the driver -I suppose that might be too late .@jazzy will know better than me . I did end up needing massages on my shoulders and neck .Have a great day all and stay safe .COYB
As Fred says @anjelikaferrett there was nothing you could do so don't think twice about blaming yourself .
I'm pretty sure Anj has no guilt issues over blame Blue. It was just a light hearted comment and it's good that we can smile about it.

Bit achy in my arms and midriff and a bit of tightness across the chest mate. But not sore sore, just a bit uncomfortable. It'll probably get worse though I imagine. Had a decent sleep last night. About to get a bit of brekkie before setting off. Train is just after 10.

Catch up later guys.

Good to hear that you’re up and knocking around ok. I’m sure @jazzy will have said this but do get yourself checked out when you get home. Have a safe journey back

Just catching up on this thread and was shocked to read about the accident, but relieved to hear that there appears to have been no serious injury to @anjelikaferrett or @Barnfred 55
Many years ago I was in a similar accident. I was stationary in a queue of traffic when I heard a squeal of brakes, I looked in my rear view mirror to see a large coach careering towards me. For that split second I thought I was a goner. As it happens I received no injury whatsoever despite the car being a write off.
