2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

I'm not fully sold on him. He has been a bit of a nomad in his career and there is a reason for it.

There has been such a low bar with signings that it doesn't take a great deal to impress anymore.

He is ok. If he doesn't stay, then perhaps he can say he wasn't given enough of an opportunity.

I'm 50/50, think he would make a decent enough squad option at a low price. But as endorsements go, that doesn't seem good enough.

I can’t think of any young 22 year old players that have the potential to play in the prem that cost 12m

City reserve players and the RS youngsters go for more than that without ever playing a game

With us having to fill so many positions and having to spend very smart and search for value

He is a no brainer imo

Minus the heading ability, he`s the closest thing I`ve seen in a blue shirt to Tim Cahill, probably quite a bit quicker too.

You don`t become an instant fan favourite at Everton unless you have something about you, plus even if he didn`t work out, we`d still be getting our 12mil back.

It`s a total no brainer.

My only reservation is whether he’s quick enough. He’s got some decent technique but when he doesn’t have the ball I’m not sure he’s got the pace to make an impact with pressing in the way Doucoure does (although he has the opposite problem of offering nothing on the ball)

Attacking players qualities should be vision, control , execution of final pass etc

Not how much they can run

He’s quicker than McNeil, doucs and Harrison too I reckon

Yeah bizarre really. He’s the only player other than Ndiaye in our whole team who can actually break into a sprint while also keeping control of the football at the same time.

I don't think the bars low, i think some in our fanbase just haven't got a eye for a player.

It's strange how some people still aren't convinced. He clearly has strong technical ability, can create chances, and influence games- yet there's hesitation over a £12m price tag? It's baffling. Honestly, if we're turning our noses up at a natural 10 with pl experience for that price, maybe we do deserve another year of Doucoure or Soucek for 25m, both of who aren't 10s!!!
