…must say I found it difficult emotionally. My son at the game, my daughter on holiday in Kos desperate to catch the action.

Best of all seeing all my 5 grandkids in their Everton kits. 4 girls, 1 boy the oldest is 6, just a joy to know the legacy will continue just as it should.
Sounds like a lovely scene there Eggs . Long may it continue. Onto the new one now for us all

Just an honest opinion. I managed to get back to two games this season and the atmosphere was terrible in those games too. I really hope it improves next season. We need to play our part in pushing this team forward.
The atmosphere will never be like you remember it mate. Never. Football has priced out great swathes of support and those of us who are left expect more for our money. You can't treat fans like coustmers and not expect that to have an effect on them.

Thought Palace were great yesterday and in the semi final.

Today was a pretty good atmosphere, was bouncing early on, but there's ultimately nothing on the game and it peters out second half. Other than the derby it's been a damp squib of a last season here.

I loved the day. It was very emotional at times (Yep I had some tears) but it was a celebration to take us on to the new gaff as well. Magical memories of Goodison, and delighted the ladies will take over there.

First half we were great, second half??? Maybe the occassion got to them? but we got the win to send us off. I liked the display of ex players and the sing song we all had together. Nice way to go, who needs McCartney when we have Toffees.

Loved it when the sirens rang after the game and they said "OK lets hear it one more time" then "Commence Operation Goodison" rang out ha ha

Thought a lot about my dad, some family members, and a few friends who I am sure were all looking down and singing along.

But most of all, what a fan base. Won nowt in 30 years and we give that reaction today. You were all brilliant today, each and every one of you. I think not many clubs will have fans like ours. Let's take that spirit the new ground and see if we can get this club moving forward.

Up The Toffees!
