New Everton Stadium

It will always be Bramley Moore because historically that's where it is.
Hill Dickinson will be on it for a few years then it will be named something else.
Sure Hill Dickinson isn't the sexiest name we could have had but we have to trust the owners for now to get the best deals for the club
We go into next season in a far better place than we could have been so let's just enjoy the football side of things instead of worrying about the financials
What really matters is the players and what can be achieved on the pitch.
Whatever it's called it leaves us financially better off which can only be good.

A bit of perspective from a fellow blue who was president of the Liverpool Law Society to help bring the rage down. Quoted from https://www.facebook.com/share/1HFGpACn1P/

"What a surprise to see that Everton’s new home will be the Hill Dickinson Stadium. This might be be an unfamiliar name to some. But it is a name that is written into the history of the legal profession in Liverpool.

We can start that history with William Charles Cuff (‘Will’) who became a solicitor in 1870 in Liverpool. He established the firm of Cuff Roberts just as WW2 was breaking out. They became a well known Liverpool firm.

Cutting a long story short, Cuff Roberts eventually merged with Halliwell’s and adopted their name. Halliwell’s in turn, as you will have guessed became part of Hill Dickinson in about 2011. Hill Dickinson is now renowned as an international law firm but its roots are will and truly in the city.

What has this got to do with Everton?

Will Cuff was also one of the most important names in the history of the club. His love for the club went back as far as watching St Domingo in Stanley Park!

He was eventually Chairman from 1922 – 1938. A period that covered most of the career of Dixie Dean. Interestingly, another Cuff Roberts Partner, Keith Tamlin was a later Director of the club. I am proud that Keith’s name is on the same list as mine, as a Past President of Liverpool Law Society. When I was president in 2012, Keith took me a game as his guest in the Directors Box!

Hill Dickinson have continued to have close links to the club. They not only bring an injection of funds. They are also part of our DNA. We Evertonians know our history and this firm is a proud part of it."

They accepted the vagueness over Moyes’s contract, didn’t they?

That wasn’t even specified either.

They have clearly brought some money into the club with this deal - which is more than Spurs have so far managed…

We would hope so, but that's unspecified so we dont know how much.

It's Everton also in the sense that we dont know the labyrinthine ways this debt is being paid off and it could be tied up in that.

Everton + finances = murkiness.

That's been the case since the 1990s.

The 'Six Degrees of Separation' defence.

Inventive but completely flawed.

Done a bit of digging and apparently they:
- represented the NHS in the 'this Nurse Letby' case
- once instructed Keir Starmer to act as their barrister
- advised the Canada Dock wind turbine company on their planning application
- play golf of a Sunday with Commander Steve; and worst of all..
- handled Patto's bullying complaint to Finch Farm HR against Sean Dyche

It's enough that they have zero clout and wont boost our profile and have a stupid 'kin name.

I get the money side of it. Just wish it wasn’t the modern way. The Everton Stadium, The Bramley Moore Dock, anything but that awful name.

….seem to recall Keith Tamlin taking a real interest in the Youth set-up at Everton.

I kind of agree, especially after City won the case against the PL for having sponsorship with links to the owner, The Toyota stadium would have ideal. It's what we have now, I'll probably never call it the Hill Dickinson stadium, I'll just say Bramley Moore I know media will be obliged to use the official name but we the fans don't have to.

3 posts in a row mate, in addition to a fair few on previous page. Please use multi quote - it helps avoid monopolising threads. People just seek your avatar in repeated/successive posts continually on a rant an it becomes a tad tedious.

I'm liking these the more I read, good post this mate.
Personally I would never call it the sponsors name anyway, I will always call it Bramley Moore.
