New Everton Stadium

On what basis? Maybe they think the 10 million a year is worth the coverage they will generate…
I just don’t think it will be £10m a year based on the size of the firm. There’s been no official figures anywhere saying it. I find it hard to believe that a firm with that revenue would commit that much money. Saying that, they have been growing over the last few years. I wonder if this deal would have happened under the previous Managing Partner/CEO - he’s retired now but he was an ardent Liverpool season ticket holder.

It's completely fine...A firm who's history is steeped in Maritime Law sponsoring a stadium on the docks,it's actually pretty apt.

Blues were always going be uncomfortable with naming rights whoever it was,its new territory for club and fans.

Once everyone settles no one will care.
A law firm that goes back to the slave trade period.

It wouldn't take too much digging to get the dirt on any Liverpool maritime company going back to 1810.

Couldn't really care less what its called to be honest. Whatever brings in a few bob is fine with me. Goodison Park might seem boss but was hardly unique and inspiring being named after one of the roads it sits next to. It is just Everton's boss new world class stadium to me and if we become good again any name will become like Goodison Park eventually did.

You're trying too hard here mate.

It's a PR disaster. It's a humiliation for fans.

That stadium has just had the shine taken off it big time.

Nah mate, im actually quite happy with it, Hill Dickenson is quite classy and fitting of this old institution in transition, while being a business and son of the City sits well within our values, could easily have been the Selco or Tizer stadium.

But open question - what would have met the threshold for a "good deal" - a name? or an amount of money?

What would have been acceptable as an illustrative example?

Yet you're happy to call it Bramley Moore Dock now though?

I was pointing out thee inconsistency of someone's argument that this is company that has 'no moral' issues. Ild like tomsee the evidence for that. Ilm dubious knowing the history of that port.

Bramley-Moore: well that's a name that pre-dates the club never mind that new stadium. It'd be like those people looking to re-name every street in Liverpool that has a slave trade connection. They all have them.
