Surprised at this. Didn't think a legal firm would be at all in the running for stadium naming rights. I don't see the appeal to a company in that sector but it isn't my money.

Ultimately though it's confirmation of another revenue stream and that's what this was all about.

The first name always sticks. If I think of Bolton to this day I think the Reebok Stadium even though it's had about 10 sponsors since.

The echo arena hasn't been called that for about 8 years.

Was always more sensible to have no sponsor early on to establish a real name and identity for the ground.

Instead we've got a clunky name with a brand that adds no value to us. If it was Qatar airlines or something it would give luxurious impressions etc.

This is probably the lowest point since I thought Kenwright was packing us off to the tesco stadium in Kirkby. Even that would have been a better sponsor ffs.

the thing is with the Amex and the Etihad is that the name rolls off so easily you forget about the brand, it sounds like a place, it sounds like a stadium. I had no idea the Veltins of the Veltins Arena was a brand until I saw the naming rights list today. i just thought it was called the Veltins. Same with BayArena and Signul Iduna park

The Hill Dickinson sounds like the btec version of the Penny Farthing
