New Everton Stadium

"could" and "up to" in the same sentence.... reckon it will be 3-4.5 a year.... £30m-£45m for the next 10 years.

Hardly worth it...

These figures are barking mad in relation to a business of that size.

There's no way they'll keep a lid on the reality of this deal and who's really behind it, because it sure as 💩 isn't being financed by Hill Dickinson.

Everton will never change. We let in a load of chancers during the 90s and we cant get shut of these dodgy connections. If anyone believes TFG are there to bring best practices to this club I'd say that's very optimistic.

That deal today underlines it. The day Johnson came into this club and then sold to Kenwright it completely ruined this organisation which had been stand up, blue chip for over a century before.

It’s really not for a business. Those profits get divided among all the law partners to pay them their high salaries. You think your rich lawyer friend is OK with a 20% haircut to his pay because his firm sponsored Everton’s stadium?

Anyway here’s a list of the top 100 law firms in the world, what number do you think the Hill is?

Answer: not even close to being on the list.

If it’s profit, surely it’s after operating costs the number you used was turnover.

That’s a 50% profit, that’s great business if your doing it every year.

Revenue is different to profit isn’t it, there may be firms who make more revenue, but not profit.

Most law firms tend to pay out partner salaries as partnership dividends after their net income (all the grunts and labor goes into the difference from turnover to income).. regardless of the accounting debate, they’re not even a top 100 law firm, so makes no logical sense that they’re able to afford a 10mm sponsorship and not one of their massively bigger 100 competitors had an interest

Is it the level of Brand you wanted associated with Everton? I'd have hoped we'd have managed to attract better.

This has shades of when we were proudly announcing new sponsorship deals in the aftermath of losing Usmanov's freebies like the official cured meats partner of the club. It feels small time. It's not an international brand or company.

I'm highly sceptical of claims of "Up to 10 million annually". "One of the largest in Europe" is also vague enough to sound impressive. I'd love to know what we have actually sold our brand value for.

The only thing going for this is what impact it had on the bottom line and PSR. This will do nothing to grow Everton's brand imo.

I don’t think they do, that is a very generalised statement.

Do you know for certain this law firms profits are given in dividends or are you making an assumption?

Welcome to the year 1992.

Maybe, but there's an acceleration happening in the last few months.

It wont be slowed down now but at least we can demand that the club is associated with blue chip companies and not a smallish business that looks to be just a facade for other parties, because that's the way it feels to me.

Something feels wrong with this deal. Very wrong.
