New Everton Stadium

Get that. Would feel better for a profile name to boost the commercial side. But if you look at stadium names world wide...apart from the big boys, you don't see many branded names. They're either cars manufacturers or middle east sports washing.

And no one knows the amount. £10mill is mooted, probably less than that, but still one of the most lucrative in Europe. So ball park is £5mill.

Also don't know who was interested and what money was tabled.

Sounds more of a case of expectations Vs reality.
Is the stadium debt at the heart of this deal (not in the obvious sense of paying it down via getting external sponsorship)? Is this internal to those holding the debt?

I cant get my head round this any other way.

There'll be people on here with real insight into the possibilities here. Id love to hear them.

Just money isn't it. The most important thing now:(

Dave, im sure the owners have done their due diligence on this and im certain that the naming right contract for the '10m per year' has been looked into properly.

I would guess that if their turnover is 100mil and they are giving us 10mil per season then their turnover will get bigger and bigger each year.
I suppose thats the point, everyone's winner, their business grows and we can a nice return in the meantime.

Like i said the name is crap but its the owners interest to get the best deal for the club and these might have been the best on offer.
It will definitely have been the best on offer, just like stake and castore were, and everyone else before them. The idea that apple, Ferrari, meta, Nike etc are all sat there gagging to give us loads of money and we’re just too stupid to realise is nuts. as it always has been. This deal will have been the best one available for sure, but to be fair that doesn’t mean people can’t be a bit disappointed with it.

Yeah there was discussion and a few links to Twitter/x about the fan zone going in its place in this thread. The new owner was an MP for Reform/UKIP or something along those lines.
It's gary hincks and he's a horrible reform candidate in Liverpool, I worked for him when he was at seacat back in the day, guy is a complete crook and would strongly recommend not giving a penny to his so called holy trinity marquee

Its not the deal, its only the name that people are pissed with, it is terrible but for me it doesnt matter, i will always call it Bramley Moore regardless of who got the naming rights.

Do you really believe the "up to £10M" means £10M?

In any case, and as said: how on earth can a mickey mouse company like Hill Dickinson with a turnover of £100M afford to hand over £10M per year to Everton?

It's an utter sham of a story.

They've gone for a quick sale for a bargain price IMO and they didn't;t have the patience too get the appropriate deal.

Even allowing for all that and it's about £3M per year with more if Everton win trophies (no chance in the short term) this small business even paying out that makes no sense to me.

It's very suspicious.
That's just pure guesswork David.

For the record.

What do you think the actual figure is ?

What would be acceptable to you ?

And realistically, Bramley Moore is almost equally as daft a name, taking away that's it's a location (person) rather than a company (people).

Kenwright did such a number on the fans. Real psychological damage.

Everytime something seemingly good happens to the club everyone's waiting to have the carpet pulled out from underneath them.
His true damage was in running the club down to the level of a Bolton and Burnley, lowering expectations of his stewardship by the fans, yet still giving the same fans the bizarre idea that a club irrelevant for 30 years should somehow be doing commercial deals to rival those of Bayern Munich.
