Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning, the haar is back again making it cool and sunless up here. Talking of haar, here’s one of Mrs bl’s jokes to brighten the morning 😳

A pirate goes to the doctor and says : ā€œ Doctor I’m worried I’ve got all these moles on my back ā€œ

The doctor takes a look and says ā€œ Don’t worry , they’re benign ā€œ

Pirate : ā€œ Haaar, I think you’ll find there be ten ā€œ

Evening everyone, still lovely and sunny here but the wind is much cooler than of late. Just sorting out a few arrangements for the weekend which included transport to the station - bus or taxi? We are travelling fairly light so decided on the bus. It’s a good service only ten minutes into town. The husband said the half past would get us there in plenty of time and he’s right it would though it’s often late by the time it gets to our stop but even then it shouldn’t be a problem, we’d still make the train. I’d prefer to catch the earlier bus which will get us there over an hour before the train leaves which suits me just fine, I’d rather wait and know I was there than risk missing it, he thinks I’m overreacting, I am but I just can’t stand the thought of being late for anything. After much ā€œnegotiationā€ we are catching the earlier bus, he knows it makes sense.
I would be the same too the thought of being late stresses me out

Morning all from a sunny Abersoch. Well when I said that I wanted a short break I should have been careful what I wished for. The urgent care unit have just contacted me to say I have a small fracture on my elbow and could I go in to get it slinged up. So I asked them if I just couldn’t get one from a chemist and they said yes. No need to shorten our little holiday ā˜ŗļø. Unbelievably this is the first bone I have ever broken in my life. I thought there was something not right due to the pain and bruising.
Have a lovely day everyone šŸ’™

Speedy recovery ,remember when you attend the match to be careful in the crowds and especially around the AGM members .

Sorry to hear about that Val , hope you make a speedy recovery.

I'm glad you clarified that if was the first bone that you had broken.

I'm sure that before Mr P came along you broke many hearts šŸ˜‚ - see I've gone all Fred again , dunno what came over me

Hope you are still ok for Monday? You only need one hand to drink prosecco šŸ˜‚

I have fond but vague memories of about 10 of us descending on Abersoch / Hells Mouth for a camping holiday maybe around 1970 ish, two cars and a scooter. We left it too late to find a campsite after going to the pub and had to politely ask if we could pitch our tents in the garden of this huge house. It was owned by a kind old lady who had a butler/ manservant or something. Two hours later it was absolutely pouring it down , we were drenched and the lady of the house took pity on us and allowed us to sleep in the Morning Room or something. An act of kindness I don’t think you’d get in our modern , suspicious world.
Hope the fracture doesn’t cause too much discomfort Val , apparently Metacalm daily works well, at least that’s what we gave Daisy for her fracture šŸ‘

Definitely ok for Monday- not letting a little fracture ruin the big weekend!
