Holidays.....

Right im just about to book a holiday for the summer. Thing is, im still not sure were to go. It will be the babys first holiday away so we'd like somwere nice an quiet. But not to quiet, we like nice food an lazy days at the pool or on a beach.

The baby is only 9months so dont want to fly more than 3/4 hrs.

Has anyone got any Idears were to go OR were not to go??

I went there every year as a kid, [Poor language removed] loved the place, so i went back for the day a few years back, and it's still as gloomy as i remembered .

Hoping to book a cheapo in the sun later in the year when all you lot with kids are working again. We are off to Yorkshire for a few days next month, missionary work you know (y)

Menorca, nice family orientated, great food and less than two hour flight. Avoid July/August as its scorchio for the baby.

do you remember the old Crosville Tea Rooms at Loggerheads? The F11 bus went there all the way from Woodside. Long time ago like but I can just about remember it.

I certainly do Lass. I was born in Grovenor Street just off New Chester Road, used to go to the pics at the Palace cinema, remember the sign outside 'Take your Alice to the Palace' they don't write them let that these days.

Rhuddlan is a tip, never was but then Vim started going there :lol:

Just booked a 'lad's holiday' for a week in Salou (Spain) for a week in July.

As for family holidays, we had a cracker in Majorca a few years back, or Lanzarote (y)
